Tahm VO is everything right with lore, no really.

Hi I don't post much outside of Shaco x Jinx comments but the river king is blowing my mind both with his refined vocabulary and, more importantly, all of his character interactions. I mean finally. I know you had champs before that had some interactions but never this many with so many different champs. This is what I want. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed how unique Rek'Sai's VO was but I was sad she didn't have some sort of special noise or animation for the other voidborn because I don't know how she feels about them or how she'd act with them. But you guys nailed it with Tahm. You literally showed him react and interact to some of league's greatest characters. from newest (Ekko and Azir) To some of the forgotten oldies (Anyone else happy to see Warwick being talked to for once?) I really can't say this enough. DO MORE OF THIS. In a world where lore is barely existent and the most we'll get from Tahm's in game lore is a short blurb this reveals far more of his character then that "lore" ever would. I really would love narrative to do this for all the champs at some point or another either inside the game like Tahm or outside in some sort of text based form (anyone remember league judgments?). Really got my fingers crossed for narrative's future if they can pull this off on a consistent basis. (P.S. I know Jaredan said they don't want to make the world small by having everyone know each other but come on, they fight each other on a daily basis, weather you can explain why they fight or not now is irrelevant to the fact that they do fight and therefore must know each other.)

Praise aside I have some more praise mixed in with questions.

I enjoyed how you had him refer to most of the other champions as children. This also made it all the more important where he addresses Aatrox as "brother" during his taunt. For me that's a nice touch that hits home how ancient he is if he views a man who's existence has been known since the recording of history as a sibling.

Secondly his quote about how the heart of the Freljord must long for something. It made me realize that you guys didn't give him a drive. Heck you didn't even talk to him relative to the 3 factions. What is his drive? Does he have a goal grander than save all the summoner 31 ?

Nice touch on bringing up Garen x Kat, want more shipping like that.

The zingers over all are greatly written give a item 2054 to the genius that came up with those. That said it led me to wonder, what is his true feelings. Is Tahm just a 2 face? Praising someone when they're in front of him or his allies then quickly mocking them when they're not looking or his enemies?

Then there's his quotes to Darius, Gnar, and Ekko. These all lead him to suggest he can somehow travel through time. Now first instinct tells my this quicksilver-tongued gentleman is lying but although he's a charmer I don't think he'd actually lie about his abilities. So could he actually meet his end of the bargain?

One of the things that got me the most hyped was when he talked to Draaaven. Like FINALLY, we have some sort of problem or struggle introduced to a champ outside of his release or special event. Really nice touch there and I'm curious to know what Draaaven's response would be. Would he even respond or just stay silent as he let that thought sink in?

Finally this is more about his opening, but how did Tahm get into this habit of bargaining? I'd imagine if he is half as old as I suspect he is then he wouldn't have been introduced to any form of said bargaining until he had already eaten quite a few meals. Did he find that a fair bargain satisfied his hunger more then just a simple grab and eat? This question stems from the fact that Tahm went out of his way to make a deal with that gambler when quite frankly there doesn't appear to be any sort of barrier, magical or otherwise , stopping him from joining those finer tables. Is he just a sadistic fish that enjoys setting them up before crushing their dreams? Or is he a man that was born a monster but evolved into a gentleman, wanting to at least place their destruction in their hands rather then his own.

One final note, I enjoy the fact that at the end of the river king video he lets the gambler live. Kinda tells me when you make a bargain with Tahm you become more than just a meal, you become a partner. (Albeit his loans have a high interest payment.)

TL:DR Character interactions= good Plot Development= good Character Relationships being shown= so much yes. If this is what you're doing with you're champs then I can only dream of what is to come a month or so from now from you. I'll be honest I've been salty about the league being retconned but you seem to finally be getting the engines turning on this new train of yours.
