Hunting Stuff

Superino, I here have a questerino for all the you summonerinos. Esteemed members of the story boards, lore geeks, proudfoots, and what not. It is an honor to be in the presence of the greatest thinkers yet I have a question that bothers me a lot. It has more to do with hunters and their rural lives in outskirts of demacia. I am not talking about the more useful parts of the bear she decides to harvest i.e bones, meat, etc but rather I am more "concerned" about the bear's pelt, head, claws, whether it would end up turning into a bearskin rug for her home. Would you not agree that if she rugs the bear to put somewhere on the floor in her house, it would be insulting to the morals and norms of rural demacian society? What if she decided to relax on top of it, would that not be seen as morally and culturally wrong? Not to mention, "Insulting" to the bear? I know, if I was that bear, I wouldn't want this hotshot alien laying on top of my dead body, no offense to Quinn, just saying, I hate it, to be a rug in her house. I mean being harvested for bones, meat, is fine, totally cool with that, but turning into a floor mat rug to be in front of a fireplace, that is offensive. At least in my opinion. But how does a fictional society in that world react to this stuff?

People never gave a shit about hunting back in those days (which the League universe seems to be based mostly in like most high fantasy settings), especially something like "what does an animal feel about this" was never even a question. I mean, people back then didn't care what another human being might be possibly thinking about their ruthlessness with things like warring, raiding and slaving all being extremely popular across all cultures, what gives that they would care how a bear would feel about how its belt is going to be used?

And that's kinda the deal here, because they don't. Though to their credit, they didn't have to, because animals are rarely at the danger of going extinction from human hunting in those days, though that still happened but it was more to do with drastic climate changes rather than the act of hunting.

Unless we're talking about characters being very attuned with the aspects of nature in some way, morally, intellectually or religiously etc, otherwise what is to be expected is that animal products are just no different to pebbles and timbers and hunting is nothing but a challenge, game or merely a way of life for the most of them; and ofc, most of the league characters are clearly not the former.

..........

And really it's not like in modern societies hunting is more discouraged considering the amount of people who still do that as an off-time sport and given the almost unstoppable problem of poaching, and the demand of animal goods like leather among the public. So yeah.

Udyr If PETA ask, the fur is fake.

I dont think that people from old times (or runeterra) would have problems with the use of Fur for clothes or a rug... In Bilgewater they use all the parts of the sea monsters that they hunt, i dont think that it would be different in Demacia.

Maybe, in Piltover they are against it.
