That Riot didn't make a Dark Star Veigar Ultimate Skin so they could just write off his Visual update? (Udyr/MF) Don't get me wrong I want a badass Veigar with REAL event horizons and everything. But it should be his VU, not a skin.
I wouldn't say that Dark star would have been like a veigar-VU.
I mean sure veigar uses cosmic power,but thats where the similarities end.
Dark star thresh is a cthulhu-esque horror from outer space that devours entire planets(and varus seems to be similar in that regard),that is still pretty far away from veigars "big bad wannabe that no one takes seriously until its too late"-theme.
Also MF did get a VU together with her captain skin....

Every time I think about Udyr's ultimate skin I get pissed off because it really should have been his VU
Dark Star Veigar is redundant though, it's already part of veigars themes.
I mean, it sounds like Blood Moon Diana, Battlecast Blitzcrank, Void Cho'Gath, Noxus Darius, Freljord Sejuani.
It just doesn't fit.
