Can we talk about Qyiana's design?

Well, I'm sorry for every grammar mistake, english isn't my native language.

I can find only two good things about her. Her weapon and idea of queen of isolated jungle-nation. But that's all. Her whole design is B O R I N G.

Her clothes and crown are very "basic" and "generic". I mean that they don't look unique for whole new nation of isolated jungle tribe/kingdom... Just google some images of Aztec, Incan or Mayan Kings/Chiefs and you would get idea of original patterns for those regions, but also you can find some inspirations in Africa or Oceania to create a rational design for her outfit... at least her bracelets and necklace are fine.

But her "natural" appearance is kinda problematic too. Her hairstyle is so painfully generic, that it would suit the girl from Piltover, Demacia, Bligewater or Noxus(even the colour doesn't fit very well). She could have few thin braids and golden beads as her hairstyle, maybe one side of her head shaved... even she could have her forehead extended, or something. She can also have her eyebrows shaved and planted with golden plates or stylized in other, attractive way for her people. They are isolated nation, so diffrent canon of beauty is kinda obvious thing. Same thing about her make-up and figure, but what about tribal tattos, or war paintings? She is "sexy" in eyes of modern, western culture...

For real we are in 2019. Rito started taking seriously their lore, they wrote a lot of great stories, they created a unique universe, and they released a lot of great reworks and new champs since 2015 and they're still expanding their role and aesthetics in universe. Despite this, they are executing her design in a VERY BAD way. You know: "Great idea of character, but she's got lazy and sexy appearance without paying attention to the universe or rational details". AsheAshe and CaitlynCaitlyn have same problem, but I can forgive them cause their designs are a very old projects, and they will recieve update someday. But Qiyana( and Kai'SaKaisa ) is from "present days" and Rito neglected her so much despite their great artists, a solid universe, a possibility to create a brand new isolated jungle culture and advanced technology. She's such a wasted opportuinity that I'm just sad... [sg-janna]

Everyone's a critic.

Can we at least wait until Riot start commenting on their design intentions for this character before we create a thread festering on random people's likely misguided presumptions (many more I'm sure being typed out as we speak). We've seen this debate time and again under many circumstances, most of it is heightened by everyone throwing their subjective view around wildly of what they like or dislike. At least if we first listen to what the devs true intentions were, we can frame our arguments and greivences under much better understanding rather than prematurely like this.

What are you talking about everyone who says she doesn't look good well first go make a better character first then talk don't come here throwing your your bad opinion about her and wait for them to listen plus neither her or Kaisa are boring you and people who are like you are boring for fk sake go get a life

Everyone is jumping the gun on this a bit. We need a little context so Riot can explain their actions THEN we can get a ll up in arms.

If my theory on Kumungu is true and they are a Wakanda-esque high tech secret society than they wouldn't look all savage like Freljordians. They would have access to all the comforts anyone else in Runeterras' technological "first world" societies would have (Piltover, Zaun, Bilgewater and Noxus). They would only use "dummy tribes" to feign ignorance to the world and these tribes would look more native. Their queen living in their centralized capital tucked away in the middle of the jungle wouldn't look like that.
