Miss Fortune: Lore Vs. Game
Miss Fortune is one of those characters who, as Riot has developed her lore-wise, has felt more and more of a disconnect between her portrayals in lore pieces released for events, and her in game iteration. I feel the recent Star Guardian skin is what reminded me of this fact, but, one could simply chock that up to a problem many skins bring about; a disconnect between champion lines and skin thematic.
SKINS aside though, Miss Fortune's in game voice over, model and more don't fit any of the portrayals of her in recent promotional materials we've seen at all. One need only look to Riot's test animation of her, and the written works involving her from the Gangplank event. She seems to be more of a hard, unbreakable and fearless leader type, while in game, she's basically just a really attractive pirate hunter with two guns. She utters gloriously outdated and out of character lines such as, "Nothing but powder monkeys.", and, "Sure you can handle me, summoner?"
Sexiness isn't the problem here, as some may suspect, it's the fact that her entire character currently revolves around the fact that she's an attractive, seductive pirate in game- hell, her w is STRUT. In the lore pieces, she's still drop-dead gorgeous, but she's the type to choke you for under-estimating her based on assuming she's just a pretty face, and I personally feel that's even better. Riot's clearly steered away from that in-game persona for MF in the lore, so my question is, when will we see a relaunch/in game update that helps her reflect this new personality/thematic?
Just to name a few examples.
