Update on Runeterra's curses

As with everyone's and my story/lore suggestions they all seek to find concise, consistency and maybe connections between champions new or old. This thread focuses on finding one summary that explains magic and curses that corrupts champions as a way of organizing a seemingly unsorted lore.

The idea is inspired by Zilean's background stating 'chrono-displasia' magical disease. The 'displasia' (displacement) would basically mean the magic/curse abducts their mind and body from their world. They're also like Hexes, maybe.

  • CHRONO-DISPLASIA: Zilean Condition that locks mind and body into the time continuum also possibly locking them out-of or in-between inter-dimensional spaces explaining contemporary appearance throughout history and future. It's understandable but not easy to comprehend first-hand. Does not grant immortality but theories of ancient Shurima's discovery of Ascendancy may have included this magic.
  • NETHER-DISPLASIA: Kassadin and Malhazar. Alien miasma, curse and 'void essence' contagion. Alien in nature; hard to understand. Possibly the will of the alien living essence residing in the between-world as a means to Trojan-horse other worlds. Allows phasing in-out through the between-world, apparently.
  • UMBRA-DISPLASIA: Mordekaiser, Hecarim, Karthus, Kalista, Thresh, Yorick. Parasitic curse that slowly consumes life or re-couples and assumes body and soul at moment of death. Renders person unliving or undead consequently granting undead enigmatic ability to re-disperse the soul (visually disappear) but return with persistent characteristics of immortality catalyzed by extreme memory and emotion. Unliving are more volatile and violent, dependant on life-blood. Parasitic in assuming host (champions) and manipulating a weaker host (zombies and ghouls).
  • ARCANE-DISPLASIA: Ryze, Brand, Veigar, Lulu, Evelynn?, ... Generalized term for beings infused with magic that has magically altered them. The use of common magic with body will always show physiologically alteration, and so there's stress on the body (Diana isn't magically altered but is pale-looking as representative of her primitive, tribal 'moon magic'). However, those with significant and unwanted or unexpected alterations are diagnosed with arcane-displasia where some are with or without adverse side-effects, depending. Tends to happen to those who practice magic through the body instead of through a medium (like Ezreal's amulet or Janna's staff). (Arcane-displasia is almost as common as the varying influenza viruses if this helps you understand this generalization)

additionally, another radical suggestion:

  • MAGI-METAMORPHOSIS (M.M.M.): Aatrox and Varus. An aggressive and parasitic magic that captivates its host and physiologically consumes the being to optimize itself. (This mainly addresses a recent lore idea on Darkin weapons physiologically changing the wielder into a fully-metamorphosed being like Aatrox. In this case an idea of Varus weapon, a Darkin weapon being the source of his power also changes him.)

I feel like a Witch Doctor champion could be the type of support character with all this medical knowledge. I'd imagine Ryze and Zilean befriending this idea of a champion, too, for his/her medicinal knowledge. Oh... It's happening. Idea coming on me again... My brain can't stop -.-

I take Displasia to mean "displacement", as in time displacement, which describes Zileans condition. I'm not sure if the same word is the best descriptor for the other curse-like conditions you listed.
