Uhh... its just me or his lore sound a litte bit similar to the lore of Nautilus? -But with extra revenge-

"You... you look familiar."

I don't know what you are talking about, sir. Now if you excuse me, I'm busy moving to another country. ... No. Better to another planet.

It's the new Ryze rework. Pirate Ryze is now the Classic skin.

This seems like a really cool design My only gripe is that it seems like they recycled Nautilus's lore onto him. At the same time however, Nautilus IS due for a lore update

Interesting to see how this guy works.

I don't think commenters are understanding the intention behind making a dark themed support champion... As a support for the past 5 years I am thrilled beyond belief for Pyke, my excitement is incomprehensible. This will be mold-breaking for the support role, support players now have a medium outside the realm of bubbly cuteness, shields and mage crossovers. Perhaps this will change the "carried to diamond" image current supports maintain.

The trailer for Pyke gave me goosebumps, as I hope it will for everyone against me in the loading screen. Great work, can't wait to see the abilities! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

edit: P.S. Nice Jack Sparrow v. Kraken touch

The whole "shipmates betrayed me so it's revenge time" DOES remind me of Nautilus, but since Naut's old lore of being ditched by his shipmates has been replaced by a vague paragraph that only really deals with Nagakabouros, it's possible the betrayal thing doesn't apply to him anymore.

He looks soo badass. Shame such a cool looking character has to be a support. He would make such a good Assassin.

Edit: Apparently it was leaked that he's going to be hybrid Assassin who shares gold with ADCs for kills and builds lethality.

Not interested in him based on the trailer.

  1. Bilgewater isn't an area I care that much about despite liking MF because of epic "reasons" of course.
  2. Another water themed undead? Boring.
  3. Back from the grave and wanting revenge? That is an aspect of Kalista's theme.
  4. I don't find him scary or menacing in the least.
  5. I guess my first impression of him is cliche and recycled.
