Well I mean it kinda was accidentally since she burned the house down in a phase of massive emotional distress after her Stepmother was essentially shouting at her father that she was a demon child that killed her daughter. I mean she didn't kill her Stepsister either, her sister fell in a river and Annie tried to save her but she grabbed onto Tibbers. Tibbers happened to be a channel for Annie's magic and whenever she sees him in danger she unconsciously heats him up, which burned her sisters hand sending her down the river to her (unconfirmed) death. I mean who can blame Annie for being protective of Tibbers either? Its all she has left of her birth Mother so it makes sense she would have some unconscious magical protection on him.

She always was a generic and unfitting character. I don't really care if her story is awfully generic as long as it makes sense to be in the game. But you can never please these headcanon obsessed boards.

Her parents had a decent story, Annie was just a byproduct of it. I just hope they keep elements of her parent's story.

Yeah that was both what was cool and the problem with Annie's lore. Her parents had a really interesting history that I always wanted to learn more about. But the history wasn't strictly about Annie, who is supposed to be the character we care about.

Am I the only one who fears it's going to be Frozen "ripoff" ("Scorched") and additionally it ends up with Annie not being able to control her powers, accidentally killing her sister and/or her parents, becoming psycho and this way taking control of her powers?

I mean, I do think it's going to go that way, but I can see why. With the inclusion of Zoe, we already have a goofy childlike character that straight up murders people while being blissfully unaware of the destruction she's caused.

That was always Annie's shtick. Which, makes me think that to differentiate them Annie is going to take a much darker tone when compared to Zoe's annoying exuberance.

Honestly the idea that a child with magical fire abilities could accidently murder her family by setting her house ablaze is kind of an obvious direction for her.

Well that depends on how the story will be executed.

I mean League already has Taliyah as a mage who struggles to control her abilities(notice the ground quaking when she laughs?) and current Annie seems to be rather fine with her fire magic,so who knows into what direction they'll go with her.

A child prodigy you say? I mean, it's not like LoL has many champions who were just born better than everyone else.

I mean sure there's Ezreal, and Kennen, and Lux, and Garen, and Yorick, and Jarven, and Darius, and Draven, and Ekko, and Jax... but other than them, and the champions who were made to be better than everyone else... and every Vastayan... and the elemental champions.... Everyone else went through some ordeal to become who they are.

I'm not sure how Garen,Darius,Draven and Jax fit into that.

Darius and Draven literally started as commoners and only got to where they are now through hard work and while Garen was born as a noble,he still had to train hard to become the man he is now,with it going even so far that his instructors had to take away his training sword,because he might have overworked himself otherwise.

And we literally don't know how Jax became so strong,we don't know if he is a prodigy or if he just trained really hard.

If anything I could imagine a VU similar to the one that Gp got after burning tides. You know,essentially just making a new standard model(possibly even keeping the old one as a skin)

I really doubt that Riot is gonna pull out a real surprise visual update,as they never did that in the past years.
