His model with the newer skins (Academy, Soulstealer, and arguably Blood Lord) look nice and polished but his base and older skins could do with some touching up.
I've noticed Riot's taking a turn with Vlad to make him reflect a "young, beautiful nobility" visual design instead of the original gaunt vampire style, and I was hoping his older skins (particularly Count and Marquis) could reflect that.

Oleandervine1 votesZyra is SIGNIFICANTLY newer than Malzahar. Her model was actually very fine and modern, and the texture update was just polish.
Malzahar, conversely, has an antiquated model, and desperately needs a VU/VGU to look modern.
An Undead brat1 votesLul, gotta love the uneducated talking x3 First search for information, then argue. They both got their base models updated in MYMU (to me it looks like Malz's is just texture update, but who am I to judge, Riot said model update).
You might be interested in the fact that her model was the #1 thing community called for when she was about to get updated, but hey, if this seems to you like a "polish" or even "texture update", there's no questioning you have someting wrong with your eyes.
Oleandervine2 votesHer model wasn't updated. Her textures were. As you can see from your very own image, NOTHING in her model changed at all, just the art that was painted over it. Her animations and movements were still the exact same as they were before the MYMU last year, and she didn't have anything added or taken away from her model. Malzahar, also, did not have his model updated AT ALL. He also received just a texture update, which changed just how his model was painted, but didn't touch the animations or the actual structure of his model.
These pictures below that are taken from Surrender at 20 from last year's MYMU, in which they were comparing the old textures to the new texture. Please note, the models don't actually have any differences other than the textures applied to them.
