Strongest champion in the game (Lore wise)

I was wondering what everyone thought in regards to who is the strongest? We've seen it stated that Jax is, and he welcomes his handicap with his signature lamp post (and confusingly he has a Halberd in one of his skins). Other cited champions for strongest are Nasus and Renekton, as well as Fiddlesticks and Nocturne. In my opinion I believe Malzahar to be the strongest, he's the envoy of the Void, if he were to channel the full might of the Void, shit would get real extremely fast.

However, with Riots recent butchering of lore it's hard to tell much, It really pissed me off that they would be willing to shit on their characters, their own creations, out of greed (too much paying writers etc). Some examples are Ezreal, his is now 2 sentences, Trundle had his entire background changed from a sad, tragic outcast hero, to some asshole who found a club in the tundra and Xerath, from a man who was intoxicated with power that sacrificed EVERYTHING included his fellow students in magic for the power he attained, now he's some ascendant in the fucking desert?! The JoJ (Journal of Justice) is gone, and Champion Judgement have ended a long time ago, I think Talon was the last one to get one. I would write lore for free, I think it's a shame for what they've done, and speaks of their lack of artistic integrity, I love to write and do so as a side gig and if someone asked me to butcher one of my characters I'd quit first. Also in terms of lore, look at the newer champions coming out, and compare their lore with some of the old stuff (that Riot hasn't destroyed yet) Ekko's for example tells us almost nothing about him, whereas someone like Katarina or Talon have amazing backstories.

My top 10 candidates(in no particular order) - Aatrox he can singlehandly turn a large battle around and has centuries of combat experience,he is surely a force to be reckoned with. - Azir you saw that giant army of sand soldiers he could arise after his ascension?Honestly the guy seems to be a one-man-army in the lore. - Bard his traveling power is seemingly unmatched and his insight in the world also seems extremely good. - Chogath honestly,cho'gath always made the most "advanced" impression out of all the void monsters that we have in the game. - Kalista who knows how many souls she amassed over time,she seems more like a force of nature now than anything else. - Mordekaiser morde is more or less the evil overlord of the game and those guys usually stand at the top of the food chain - Sion he almost seized a fortress all on his own,that speaks a lot about his physical capabilities - Syndra lifting a whole castle out of the ground seems extremely op - TahmKench tahm seems to have the greatest knowledge about all the champs and the world itself,but its also his traveling power and the fact that he might not even is a corporal being. - Xerath Renekton &Nasus weren't able to kill this guy and his power is still limited

- Jax Jax is kind of a wildcard,his lore made him sound like he is the strongest,but it never went into specific detail about him.There is also the fact that he needs a complete retcon anyway.

Annie and Ryze could be contenders. Annie for potential and Ryze for knowledge.

Have you read Ryze's judgment? It explains how he got his tattoos and how he came into possession of the scroll, very interesting read. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Ryze/Background scroll down tell you get to the judgment.

I don't believe Ryze could be a contender though simply because I don't believe he would ever use the scroll, he's sworn his entire life to its protection, and I doubt he'd even use it to save his life.

I agree with you on Brand, as it's basically the force of destruction itself inhabiting a body, however I can't so much on Karthus, as he is certainly powerful he has been killed and "revived" in the Journal of Justice, although if he were to sing his Requiem to completion it would destroy the world.

People seems to forget the part of the Brand's lore that says:

"Overcome by Demacian forces, he was given a choice: fight within the confines of the League or die."

Which can be translated to:

Overcome by Demacian forces, he was given a choice: ~~fight within the confines of the League or~~ die.

Since the League do not exist anymore.

The force itself is powerful as all get out, the body it inhabited can only wield so much of its power though, had they killed Brand the force would've just found a new host

Veigar isn't any of those things, and is probably weaker than every character you named.

Veigar is a "corrupter of cosmic forces", he also has one of the strongest bursts in the game. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that his magical power is insanely powerful.

My personal headcanon is that he is the most powerful wizard to ever walk Runeterra, but he's too incompetent and insane to fully utilize his potential.

I'm afraid he's not, and that he's considerably weaker than Xerath.

He is explicitly merely a "dangerous and powerful wizard in his own right", rather than the arcane demigod certain ill-informed people would claim him to be. He is something of a little pussy ass bitch compared to the actual strongest champions in the game.

Got hit by the retcon bat, but he is still quite powerful, being apparentely immortal and capable of taking on both Nasus and Renekton. is another amazing mage, who considered himself to be more powerful than pre-retcon Xerath. He doesnt seem particullary arrogant, and his actual knowledge on magic is unmatched, so it is worth checking.

It is specifically stated that could free himself from the Summoner's grasp whenever he wanted. I strongly doubt that power steems from his physical strength, so i could see him being quite a potent magic user. On a similar note, is also stated to be stronger than the Summoners (rip) and is actually held back by his armor.

Was stated to be one of the most powerful magicians in the entire planet by a high ranking summoner, at the age of 8. Her potential is not only amazing, but the sheer control and understanding of her magic are incredibly high. Whereas Syndra is all about potential, Annie's affinity for magic seems to be high on both potential and actual talent.

Has the potential to be incredible, but she is too arrogant and doesnt understand her own power (Red statement). Even if she has the highest magical potential out of every mortal (Which is possible), she is unlikely to ever reach it until she changes her current mindset.

All we have for is his in-game power. His lore notes that he is ''A powerful wizard in his own right.'', which doesnt inspire confidence in me when it comes to the likes of Xerath and Syndra. Even then, we know Veigar has been failling to achieve his goals, with Tristana herself making it quite clear she sees the Tiny Master of Evil as nothing more than a joke. Even if he has the potential to be the most powerful magician of all (Which i doubt), he is by far the most incompetent magic user in the game, so i doubt he would reach said power.

Can beat just about everyone, due to the nature of his powers. It is unknown how well other, more powerful magicians can resist his control, if at all. Sorta reminds me of Avatar's blood bending.

- Literally allowed himself to be trapped by the Summoners (rip) because he thought it was fun. Could escape at any time.

- Seems to be similar to Annie, potential wise. Probably stronger atm due to her age.

- Literally had the league by the balls. He took a room and they couldnt do a damn thing about it.

- Old lore, got the very first Hexakill by himself.

- Another of those champions that have the summoners shitting themselves. His very presence causes uncurable illnesses and is apparentely not at full power due to his armor.

- God damn mountain. Nobody can fight this dude physically.

- Seems to be completely immortal. Also appears to be able to eat anything and has been implied to have time traveling abilities with possibly global Teleportation. Furthermore, his knowledge about the world in immense.

Honorable mentions:

- Given his kit, i mever pictured Jax as being very powerful. Instead, i see him as an incredibly skilled fighter that will completely curbstomp anyone that isnt significantly more powerful than him. Since the Summoners hold the stronger champions back, Jax gets to shine.

- Not really powerful, but his complete death immunity is worth a mention.

- Lots of potential, but is held back by his illness.

- Amazing power, but is held back by his own incompetence.

- As long as you have blood (Or something close enough), you can not defeat Vlad in a direct fight.

- Definetly powerful, but she cant take over the rest tribes by herself.

Veigar is incompetent and obviously can not chanel anywhere near as much as power as he would have us believe. He might have potential, but he is an okay mage at best that gets his plans thwarted in a daily basis by Teemo to the point Tristana sees him as nothing more than a joke.

Braum is my vote, as he can punch through a mountain and has an unbreakable shield. Not much you can't do with that setup.

Mage wise is between Xerath and Syndra they are the most powerful mages. Ryze is close behind but he goes for knowledge more than raw power, on a fight he will be strong enough to hold his own but doesn't have nearly as much raw power as the other two. Annie Could grow to become one of the contenders as well but right now she fells short.

Political wise, meaning which would have more impact on Valoran the obvious will be Leblanc Swain JarvanIV this three are the most important figures.

Combat wise it would be Jax Aatrox this two have the power to tilt any war. Honorable mentions would be Alistar Evelynn Elise Leona Shyvana Sejuani Diana but nearly as much as the first two.

Now if you consider the strongest as the most powerful, I will say it goes to Bard or TahmKench . Tahm gets too see time and space as a flow and can alter it at will, meaning that with subtle he can chose or take out kings and any kind of political figure. He can predict events and turn tides with ease. Bard besides having the same abilities he can warp between dimensions as well. Good thing neither of those is completely a villain or else we will be really screwed.

My personal vote would be for Bard as he is the one that can cause the most influence and given the conditions could delete any other champion without the need of directly fighting them.
