Possible "Smurf" rework
I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this idea, but here it goes. I, as well as many, have friends/coworkers/etc that we have blackmail- I mean convinced to play League, however in order to play with them and ensure they have a fun, constructive time we have to make a new account to play with them aka smurf. However, I would really like to see this whole system reworked, as I believe the current leveling system is clunky at the very best, and I believe there's a number of ways that we can improve this.
For starters I think it would be great if we could implement a "teacher/student" mechanic, where you can take another player under your wing, which boosts both parties exp when they play together. To stop this from being abused, we can achieve balance quite easily. For example I'm level 30 and I take a level 10 friend under my wing for as long as we play together, I'm counted as being whatever level he is to prevent the quite unfair advantage of a full runes/masteries level 30 against some new players. Moreover this can be extended to an account that you make for yourself, a smurf, we can mitigate the possible damage done by giving your smurf a percentage EXP increase, HOWEVER, you must link that account with your main account, causing an infraction occurred on one to translate to the other to prevent the whole "I don't care, this isn't my main" nonsense.
I believe that leveling is clunky, and ill-designed, and I can see how new players couldn't be bothered to play up to level 30 as the process is long and to be quite frank, an extremely large time sink for no real experience, as "real" play begins at max level. For instance I recently leveled up two smurfs to test how things are going, with an average game length of 33-34 minutes (the highest being 45+) and the lowest being 20 minute surrenders, I have 40 wins and at least triple losses and I'm halfway to level 14. My second account is seeing much the same game length, but has 69 wins and double-triple that in losses and is 1/4 through level 17. If you take it on the much lower end and say each game lasts 30 minutes, then it took me 6,210 minutes (minus the time it takes to get in que, champion select, loading screens etc.) to reach level 17. That's about 103 hours of continuous play to reach level 17, and as the levels get higher, you require more and more wins to reach the next level, this is quite frankly absurd.
