The new champion teaser, as others have said has in fact expanded several areas of lore. But something catches my interest especially -what is the significance of the constellations? Are each of these patterns recognized across all of Runeterra? And were the images of gods and monsters, and the fall of empires put their by Higher Powers or....are they just mortal imagination that created them?

"Stories are everywhere. We build them from what we see. Even the sky above whispers to us."

Considering that Celestials exist in some form, it may in fact be that they are supernatural in a fashion. But then that makes one ask the question. Who would commemorate The Watchers?

That is not dead which can forever lie at the bottom of the Howling Abyss.

maybe bard is the one who creates the constellations?

I like that theory, constellations are it's way of sharing the stories it has learned.

So like a story-telling deity who paints with the stars?

He/she paints the constellations in the sky so that the people of Valoran may remember, and that they may be warned.

I mean, it is absolutely impractical, considering stars are massive celestial objects with unfathomable distances between them, but I like the poetic nature of forming constellations for the purpose of telling tales.

Well maybe not actually moving celestial bodies but painting the constellations in the sky as if the sky was the pre-painted canvas and he/she makes constellations out of what's already there, if that makes sense.

Depends on whether you are talking science stars or fantasy stars. Science stars are indeed massive celestial blobs of gasses and matter, but fantasy stars are often portrayed as anything from sentient entities to droplets of light to pinholes in the orb that is the outer bound of their universe.

True, though I suspect Riot's narrative team is taking a more realistic approach. I cannot say with certainty, but my suspicion remains.
