Jax's Lore: A Friendly Reminder [Poll]

tl;dr: Do you want champion lore updates to take precedence over new content? If not, why?

Hello, everyone, I don't want to stir up trouble today; there will be a place for people to disagree in the comments, which will be addressed politely and calmly, I can assure you.

I would like to say that certain champions are in limbo lore wise and have been for some time now. I mentioned Jax in the title because he is my main, but other champions like Kayle, Morgana, Malphite, Nocturne, and most depressingly Fiddlesticks are in limbo as to character identity right now. Fiddle's lore had been down for several months before it was fixed, and only recently was changed...back to the original lore. All these champions need new origin stories if you will to account for the retcon a couple years ago.

I simply wanted to draw attention to this issue, perhaps rally a few people to the cause, or at least provide a place to discuss potential solutions. Please upvote, vote in the poll, and comment to draw attention to the discussion.

While I particularly loved the Shurima and Bilgewater lore events, I think I would prefer to touch up these old champions to new events. If we could even receive so much as a year to expect a change in, I would be overjoyed. But to receive a Riot response, we need an organized, calm, yet large amount of community support.

Also, maybe you disagree, in which I honestly would love to hear your opinion. Everyone here is a valuable community member, and your input is greatly appreciated. Maybe you hate all the champions I mentioned, and want them to receive a backburner. Maybe you think Lore doesn't matter compared to Gameplay. Maybe you like having the old Lore unchanged.

Without any bit of sarcasm, I want to hear anything you have to say on the subject. Even if you only comment to say that I'm a raging fucktard of an idiot who doesn't understand anything. Just comment. Please.

I'd rather riot finish updating their main factions and foundation before delving into their independent parts. Unfortunately alot of those non updated champion was part of Riot's old lazy rule of cool design philosophy. Riot probably have somesort of vague idea what they want to do with them, but won't touch them until either they get a vgu update or until their finish updating all their factions.

tldr: their not part of riot priority atm. They have more important things to work on.

You probably have already heard this sort of rant before, but keep in mind that unless the discussion is kept alive, nothing will ever change about this situation.

Funny thing: Because of the retcon, you get more of Lee Sin's lore by reading Udyr's page than by reading his own.

Anyway, I do desperately want Riot to completely update their lore, but I also think we should recognize that lore isn't for everyone, and in the end, Riot has to cater to the masses. It would also be very difficult to suddenly swerve and throw everything they have at updating the lore without going on a massive break from other content. They just don't have the time or people. While I want new lore, I also want it to be something that has been made carefully and thoughtfully, not some rushed, jumbled together mess.

I don't think it's one or the other. The Bilgewater event updated several champions. Adding Azir updated several champions.
