Am I the only one that finds the female Project skins lacking appearance wise?

I know this might seem like a petty thing to complain about to some, but hear me out here fellas. As someone who has always been a fan of badass helmets, I think it's unfair that ever female skin in the project skin gets denied a awesome helmet of their own. I mean just look a the disruption video, out of 5 male members 4 are wearing pretty sweet helmets(Ekko doesn't get one because the others naturally hate him, he's Ekko) most of the time.

Now let's look at the opposite gender's headgear. You'll notice literally NONE of them are wearing any cool helmets that would provide full face protection, _not even _LEONA THE FREAKIN TANK. Every single one of them has the lower half of their face un-obscured for some odd reason, and Ashe walks around not even so much as wearing her visor half the time. I just find it so dumb that mah dudes get to run around looking like freakin space ninjas, but muh dudettes have to run around looking like their idiot armor-provider forgot to include half their goddamn helmets.

Its the female armor syndrome effect. Look at every fantasy game that has armor and you'll notice that the females half the time usually have shortcomings on their side. Th only one i don't agree with you however is Ashe. She is the epitome of the old age archer/ranger class, who never had a helmet and just a hood so vision wasn't clouded.

I noticed that too, was a little disappointed the first time when neither Fiora or Leona got full on helmets and now Ashe has even less. Here's hoping we get more cool helmets in the future!

Seriously if Ashe get a helmet, thats not Ashe. Ashe and hood are synonyms.

I was really hoping for at least Leona to get a full-head helmet, because I just freakin' love helmets, and armours, but it looks like the designers again opted for the "females must have their red lips exposed" trope, because, I don't know.. People buying skins for these champions already know which ones are female, I see no need to forcefully place dysfunctional armour on women just to make sure it's obvious they're female. This trend has a result that some characters(female ones) don't get cool designs when they very well could have.

Leona's armour looks the coolest to me, I just wish she had a helmet covering her whole face to make her more badass.

I think Ashe mainly does it to show that she is still human since the lore behind the skin is that, despite her having robot enhancements, she won't fall prey to being made a slave as a robot. She is still human within. Therefore, since she leads a rebellion, she needs to have a human face. As far as Leona and the others go, though, I don't know.

Project Fiora and Project Ashe are the best looking skins out of the line, but I see what you mean.

I do find it a bit problematic that Project Leona isn't wearing a helmet, she is a tank, but for the other ones I can see why they wouldn't wear a helmet. I do think the reason for no helmets is exactly what the above poster was saying about, "the female armor syndrome." Anything that doesn't bring attention to the lower half of the face or the body is usually altered to enhance certain features. League is no stranger from criticism in that department, and they are getting kinda better. Kinda.

Project Fiora wearing no helmet makes sense to me though. She's a very showy and quick champion. Fencers typically wear helmets when sparing or in competition, but it's clear Fiora is an arrogant character that thinks nothing of her opponents. She wouldn't be wearing clunky armor or a big helmet because she wouldn't need the extra protection.

Plus her design is a nod to Raiden from Metal Gear Solid Rising (who also wears no helmet), and the Project skins draw heavy influence from that game overall. Project Ashe is an archer, so I don't know why she would be wearing one either. Her interactions with other champions show us that she doesn't put too much stock in cybernetic enhancements.

Project Katarina could go either way. Personally I found her skin to be the biggest let down out of 3 new ones though. Her design could have used some spicing up, especially since she's such a beloved champion.
