Azir: he just wanna bring his home back to the world, people don't like that, but he's really strong.

Theres far more to it. Long ago Azir was rescued by Xerath, a slave boy, lost in the desert. Azir then promised to free xerath when he grew up and became emperor. The day had not come so xerath became scornful. He grew to hate azir, even discribing him as vain and naive. He plotted and deceived his way, and convinced Azir into doing the Ascension ritual. Xerath tricked nasus and renekton into staying away from the event. And low and behold, Azir's last act as a human was to free all shuriman slaves. Xerath, however, was convinced that this was too litte to late and still ended up betraying Azir. (It should be noted that xerath also had a love interest who ended up dying during the chaos that happened at the Ascension ritual.)
I find their lores very fascinating.
Long lores aren't in the client anymore. Full lores are on the main page(though many champs are still missing their full lores).
Xerath and Azir have bigger lore pieces on the main page and it was confirmed that the shurima characters are going to receive updated lores in general,so I guess they'll add a bio to them soon.
