What I Hope For The Ionia Event
Now with our whole situation with the reveal of Vastaya, we are also getting a huge Ionia lore event as well. Now I'm not too sure who is going to be included, as some Ionian Champions desperately need a VGU (
) or simply seem a little out there and may be part of a different lore event (
), but I'm predicating that these Champions are going to be updated in this event.

are confirmed Vastaya and most likely getting lore (Hopefully
gets some love too)

are most likely to get some lore as well, as it's been hinted at that Soraka's lore is getting updated, we've seen some new details on Zed's lore and to update Ionia you're pretty much required to update Karma.
Gained a new short story early on when Universe first started, so it's extremely likely. Along with that, he's listed as having a relation to Xayah and Rakan but it's unclear why.
and
are pretty likely for lore as their stories seem too cool to just leave in the dust during this event, and we've already gotten details on Wuju through
's lore.
's lore is obviously up to date, but I hope we get a short story alongside his already completed bio. And lastly, I'm really hoping we get some lore on
. Firstly, her story and situation seems interesting to explore and can give a lot more closure on the nature of the Kinkou and Zed's Order of the Shadow, as it's been speculated that she's a former associate/disciple/lover(?) of Zed but is now an ally to
, which we also see in Jhin's story. The issue here though is that she's set to get a VGU sometime in the future, but I think that Irelia seems muc more in need of a VGU than Akali, so hopefully we see more from her.
Now what I hope Riot does:
- Expand On Syndra's Lore, Don't Change It: I really like how this angsty teenage Syndra is born with the most destructive and powerful affinity to magic throughout possibly the whole world, and is trained by some sage only to learn that they've been secretly dampening her powers in fear of her, causing her to be seen as 'evil' and 'unstable.' Keep that story, I love the tragedy of her feeling of betrayal and the problems she encounters while holding this much power, as well as how it effects her insatiable hunger for more. Keep it, but expand on it.
- The Kinkou Isn't Really That Big: When I read the lore surrounding the Kinkou and Zed, I always loved the idea of Akali, Shen and Kennen being some of the only members of the Kinkou order left after Zed's coup (alongside some Acolytes maybe), fighting Zed and his army of shadowy warriors. In short, don't make the Kinkou this super big group of mystical warriors, keep it so that they are always outnumbered by Zed and his goony acolytes, but never outmatched.
