....................We really could use some more, , , , , , , , , (im not counting skt skins as they weren't chosen by riot), , , , , , , skins. And yes I know I probably missed a couple but come on, either they haven't gotten a skin in a while (j4, Braum) or they don't have too many skins (Tahm, Ivern, Cam, Taliyah, Illaoi), please Riot, we need more skins for these guys and gals . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Oh whats that? they gave Viktor a new skin? finally............Oh wait they also gave zed and kat more skins Really? that is absurd

Zac's chromas are a wasted potential because Pink, Yellow and Orange colors could all become really good acctual skins for him with their own themes. I hope they do something in the future and turn them from chromas to acctual skins

Zed needs a new skin with Viktor over Katarina, who already has a Halloween skin. Jhin and Brad just got new skins. The rest I agree with, though.

Yeah, because Jhin is still fairly new, and wasn't all that popular around the time he came out. He had only spiked up in popularity around Worlds and the Lethality meta, which is why it had taken so long for him to get a new skin. He just got Blood Moon, so chances are he won't be getting many more until his playrate spikes up again and/or he gets nerfed. Brad has Brad Brad, Snowday Brad, and Elderwood Brad. That's more than what Zed had until Death Sworn, more than what Rengar has, and more than what Jhin has. Brad definitely isn't in need for a new skin until late into next year. Same with Zed, Jhin, etc. Some of these guys are fairly new AND aren't played much, like Camille, ASol, Taliyah, and Ivern. Ivern and Taliyah may be exceptions here and there, but overall, there are a few reasons that Riot is giving skins to the higher playrate champions who need skins, like Vik and Zed. It's because

The champions fit the thematic in some aspect or another, be it kit, theme, etc.
The champion has a fairly high playrate.
The champion isn't in line for a VGU rework or something along the lines in which they'll need to be updated (a la Evelynn, Urgot, Galio, Swain, etc.)
The overall product is satisfactory, (unlike Sewn Chaos Blitz and Amumu)
Other possible events they could fit into have already passed (a la Dark Star, Arcade, Blood Moon).

People want a Haunted ASol, except he would literally just be a brighter shade of blue with a bit of green. It'd make more sense for a Snow Day ASol.

People want a Popstar Poppy, although she doesn't fit the thematic of the skin.

People want a new Illaoi skin, although she has a shit playrate.

People want a new Swain skin or a new Rengar skin, neither of which I'm opposed to, but they're in line for reworks, so they'll get theirs if their playrate spikes up following the updates.

People want a new Taliyah skin, except all the good thematics (PROJECT, Pool Party, Star Guardian, Halloween, Arcade) have either passed, or weren't in production this year. It's the same thing as me wanting a Blood Moon or Dark Star Zed, but those events have passed, so instead I'll take Death Sworn.

Zed hasn't had a new proper skin since PROJECT, and yet retains a fairly high playrate. But he is a reaper of shadows-- reapers are generally associated with death. Hence Death Sworn.

Viktor hasn't had a new skin since Creator, and also retains a fairly high playrate. And his thematic is scientific, so why not, following in the steps of Arcane Ziggs, give him a magic-based skin? Enter Death Sworn.

Katarina? I don't really have an explanation for that one. She just got PROJECT and already has a Halloween skin (Kitty Kat). Imo, Death Sworn Vel'Koz would have been lit af, while still remaining in the Midlane Skin Surge. He also needs a new skin, and his kit would fit with the thematic.

so, to summarize what you're saying here is "Bard, taliyah, ivern, cammile, jhin, ASol, don't need skins, since they have shit playrates!" uh thats not how it should work, tal, ivern, cam, and ASol all are only on their release skins, thats it, they should get more even if they have shit playrates and some of them would definitely work like Haunted ivern, elderwood cam, worldbreaker ASol. Just because they have "shit playrates" doesn't mean they aren't in need of skins, hell Riot just gave yorick a skin and he has a "shit playrate", they wanted to give him one, not because he was popular, but because he NEEDED more skins, he had 3 before this new one, and I believe (correct me if im wrong) Yorick came out when champs got 2 release skins, so saying that these champions don't "need" skins since they have low playrates is just, not a strong arguement, to say the least. EDIT: Also at LEAST, Ivern, Taliyah, ASol, and Cam, all came out almost a year, to over a year ago, and they're still on 1 skin. EDIT 2: Illaoi should also be on that list, and I've seen some pretty good Illaoi skin concepts like, Gatekeeper Illaoi, Pool party Illaoi, Elderwood Illaoi, etc. Also you didn't really touch on Tahm at all, my first main, I may be biased, but he still kinda needs a skin, he does have a 1350 which is fairly decent, but he has some really nice concepts like, Gentleman Tahm kench, Dark star Tahm Kench, Wonderland Tahm Kench, Seafarer Tahm Kench, etc, also in my original post I should've included azir, he really needs a new skin tbh like, Toy ruler Azir, Underworld Azir, etc, these champs all have really great concepts for skins, heck almost all of the skins I listed here were from just searching for concepts, and I would definitely not mind having them in game, so to say that most of the champs that I listed don't fit skin lines, well thats just blasphemy.

No. Nice reading comprehension skills. Read the last part of my original post.

The whole thing about Rito is that they're a business, and they need to sell successful skins. Selling a Zed skin will get them FAR more money than a Taliyah skin. I wouldn't mind a Haunted Ivern. Elderwood Camille would be cool. But Worldbreaker ASol doesn't fit in the thematic of the Worldbreaker skinline, because as far as we've been told, they're essentially the Four Horsemen. One is literally a horse/man, but I digress. Four being the operative word here. Not five or six or however more would be necessary to satisfy a champion's thematic. I never said that low playrates means they don't NEED skins. It means that they're lower priority for skins.

Yorick didn't get a new skin ONLY because he needed it, but also because he had been in line for a VGU, and they wouldn't release one so close to the update. They're only now just giving the champions who need skins like Zed and Viktor some new skins. Some of the others either didn't fit the thematic they were looking for or wouldn't sell properly.

I never said these champions didn't need skins because they weren't played as much, so I don't know how you got that message from my post.

Azir just got Warring Kingdoms, not to mention that Underworld Azir already exists. It's called Gravelord Azir.

And I'm saying that the champions don't fit the thematic that Riot initially planned them for. Not whatever thematic the people want.

Once again, I go back to Sewn Chaos Amumu/Blitz. To the average player, the thematics would be nice, but for Riot, it didn't meet their standards, so they're holding off on giving them new skins.

Vladimir needs a new skin, like Dark Star Vladimir, but until his playrate starts to rise up to the point where he'd be profitable enough for Riot, he won't get a new skin. Same thing with Zed. His playrate was ok pre-7.14, but not skin-worthy, no matter how much I wanted Dark Star or Blood Moon Zed. Due to the Lethality Buffs and Zed direct buffs, his playrate has skyrocketed, which makes him a candidate for a new skin.

It's not a matter of the length of time it has been since that champion has last had a skin (if ever). It's a matter of profitability.

Champion X has a high playrate and Champion Y has a low playrate. However, Champion X just got a new skin less than a year back, but Champion Y hasn't had a new skin in a while. Riot will more often than not give Champion X a new skin over Champion Y unless they both fit the thematic, in which case they'll probably market them together.

I play some champions who have low playrates and still need skins like Shen, but until his playrate is at a decent spot, or a thematic rolls along for which he'd be perfect cough immortal journey cough, chances are he won't get a skin.

People want Pool Party Taliyah and Illaoi, which is understandable, except for the fact that there haven't been any Pool Party skins at all this year. So the chance for the thematic hasn't rolled around. People want PROJECT Diana and Quinn. To that I say fuck no, because they just got new skins, but whatever. PROJECT wasn't a thing this year, but it might be next year, meaning that some new skins are bound to be introduced, like PROJECT Akali, PROJECT Irelia (if her VGU is done by then), PROJECT Kayn, and PROJECT Shen. Those may come into existence because they fit the thematic, will need new skins, and will be profitable enough (at least, I hope in Kayn's case) to warrant them.
