[Rune Wars]: Ryze & Evelynn

After the Updated Lore for Evelynn Evelynn was released, I was kinda surprised to see how much she had changed (Going from a Mysterious Assassin for hire with ties to the Shadow Isles to being a Demon that terrorizes all of Runeterra). One thing I did notice almost right away in the new Lore was that she was created/born from the Rune Wars in Runeterra's past. The only champion so far that has been confirmed to my knowledge to have been around since those times was the Mage known as Ryze Ryze . In Eve's lore, it states that "She yearns for the day she can plunge the world into utter chaos, and she can return to an existence of pure, rapturous ecstasy." One of the ways she can do this is if she can get her hands on the Runes that were used in the Rune Wars. This more or less opens up a few questions;

  • Has Evelynn or Ryze encountered one another in their travels?
  • Does Evelynn know about the Existence of those Runes used in the Rune Wars?
  • How would Ryze react knowing such a Creature exists because of that cataclysm?

All of this quite frankly interests me & makes me wonder if they'll talk more about the Rune Wars soon. What do you guys think?

I would like to see such an encounter in a comic. It would deepen Eve's motivations (Getting the world runes to unleash a cacophony of suffering in Runeterra again), and also give Ryze a bit of relevance in the story, while giving face to any of the many dark forces that want him dead

What I am thinking the Ryze vs Eve Taunts would sound like.

Ryze:

  • When The world know peace, I will enjoy knowing you will suffer like your victims.
  • Begone, Whore!
  • I will NEVER be seduced by a monster spawned from the Rune Wars!
  • Just another reminder of the importance of my task

Evelynn:

  • Ugh, such a bore.
  • So old yet so fresh, even you want to have some company.
  • You have suffered so much already, when I am done with you, you will have satisfied me better than most.

I was explaining to a friend why Eve's lore is unsatisfying to me, and partway through it occurred to me that Eve and Ryze could easily have a relationship (for lack of a better term) similar to Batman and Poison Ivy. Eve is the temptation that Ryze feels, but never takes, and though Ryze would be difficult to get to take the bait, it would only make his fall all the sweeter.

Tbh I think the black substance we see in Ryze's splash is Evelynn before she took a human form.
