I'm kind of hoping that they've been waiting this long because they're going to release something as big as Star Guardian Taliyah. The thing is, Taliyah also has the Zyra problem, in which making a skin for her requires a lot of model work, especially since almost every skin these days is 1350, or else the audience is almost always disappointed. So I can see why skins for her take a long time, but I do hope it means they're planning something good for her. I'd even take Arcade Taliyah.

I'm hoping more for Pool party myself, as it's a pretty popular theme since her reveal.

Zyra has much bigger kit issues than Taliyah does however. Zyra is kind of like Zac, they got a lot of things that need thought and extra models, morphing, ect. Taliyah really only has her wall which shouldn't be too hard or then Anivia would run into the same issues and she's got plenty of skins. So i think it's more so Riot just hasn't been able to settle on a theme that they think will work and be mostly enjoyed.

Tooo be fair, the lux skin focus on really picked up recently.

And also, imperial, steel and commando are all weird meshes of each other and quite ftankly some of the worst skins in the game.

Though the 3 skins she got in the past 7 months is definitely oversaturation.

Well two of those are of the low tier variety so they didn't offer anything other than a new outfit. Overall she has 5 skins that range from 520 to 975 and only the steel legion (being 975) brought new effects.

When got Star Guardian in 2015 is when she picked up and began to get 1350s that would always bring something new. So that is one thing most people forget when they see champions like her, Ezreal, MF, ect get quite a few is that their older selection is nothing but low tiers that offer nothing special.

So its not a bad thing to give them skins that can offer new effects, animations, VO, ect. It's to try and keep them just as fresh and cool as newer champions. Even if they do feel like they get them over others that could be just as good.

Yeah Star Guardian was actually her first skin in over 2 years. Then she got Elementalist a year later, followed by Empress 11 months later.

11 months again and she got her variant, then now 6 months later she got Battle Academia and Prestige.

She was released with the then standard 2 skins, the next year all demacians got Commando and she got imperial. 2 years later she got steel legion with Garen.

She actually got abandonned skinwise for long periods of time to the point people had been unironically asking for new skins for her that were actually good.

Star Guardian sold so well Riot realized making skins for her was really good profit.(anime sells as much as people joke about it being trash)

Then she got 5 more skins in 3 1/2 more years. Because she sells hard.

Empress was actually 13 months later (November 2016 > February 2018).

Pajama Guardian technically wasn't part of the skin schedule (Soraka got a skin two patches in a row because of it, but with the 5 chosen you can bet they were specifically the more profitable champs), and Prestige Editions obviously aren't either, so although in terms of the "Skin Schedule" she hasn't been getting them more than yearly, she still has 11 freaking skins and doesn't really need anything for awhile.

Still would love her to be part of a new theme rather than one that's already out. Odyssey, Eclipse, Battle Academia were all new themes that resonated so strongly with players; I want Taliyah to be part of something similar instead of riding the hype of a return, like Star Guardian.

You're even lucky she got one after they decided to stop bullshitting and make them actually good skins instead of just 520's with team logos.

Uhhh no. They literally do not count. As in Riot has said, they do not count towards a champ's skin count.

While you are correct, they did at one point count as part of the skin schedule! It's why Faker was denied Ahri and instead chose Zed, since Popstar Ahri came out around that time so she wasn't allowed another skin so soon.

I love how her release skin is a reimagining of Taliyah as a freljordian ice mage, so i think it would be cool if they made skins for the other regions of Runeterra as well: Noxus Taliyah would be a fire/magma mage, Ionia Taliyah would use Spirit magic etc.
