What if the Brackern are ancient Voidbeings?

The purple color scheme and insect-like body structure and the relatively close locations point to them being related. Considering that the Void are all about evolution and adaptation, what if the Brakern were some of the very first Void creatures that adapted to the land to coexist rather than to completely consume it. Like Khazix they saw the advantage of these powerful crystals that incorporated into their bodies to become stronger. Being a primitive ancient variant of voidlings or perhaps they achieved perfect symbiosis, the Brackern chose to hibernate for millennia to survive rather than confront the softskins that were ultimate going to kill themselves.

Perhaps Runeterra was originally the voidlings' world and they were driven out to another world/dimension by the first Targonians? Now they are simply trying to claim back whats was theirs.

Eh, I don't see it. From what the other Void champs say, the Void is a pretty chaotic and nasty place. They got stuff like the Xer'Sai and Cho'Gath in there. Skarner's story makes pre-crystal Brackern sound pretty fragile. I don't think they'd last if they hailed from the Void.

(this is my take on it given the new lore, but I could be wrong so dont take this as if its definitive)
