I really hate that riot excluded him in the vastayan race because he fits in that criteria. He is using magic to heal allies and chimeric being, half bull, half cow, half human and half reindeer. I don't even like the minotour race idea in the lore/lol unless it is a sub division from the vastayan race because the minotour race is very generic. His lore is even the same as Xin Zhao except Xin going to demacia.
There are even other routes/directions that could make alistar unique in the game/lore, so, I wish riot would spice his lore up and change it.

He is the Demi-God of strength, one of ornn, aniv and volibears sibling. He resides on top of the mountains beside noxus( great barrier). Some people adore him and made a religion out of him specially some people in noxus because of his strengths and virtues. he gained followers like volibears ursine called minotarians. So in return to any one who prays in him, he gives them strength like his gameplay but health instead.

He is a vastayan race from ionia, his village was gangraped by noxus and now one of noxus lands like fae'lor(look in the map). he was captured and deported in noxus to be a gladiator. he was a gladiator until he recently broke out because of a catastrophe. After that, he journeyed back to ionia to see his family but to his surprised they're now dead. because of that, he raged and mascaraed the whole noxian pips in the village. In agony, he journeyed in to the mountains until he saw lee sin. They both became comrades and lee thought him martial arts and to nurture his gifted ability, to heal himself quickly. To his surprise, he can also heal other pips and not only himself. After that, they both began to avenge the disadvantage in ionia from noxians.
