I will try to see if I can get reference for her final form, to do edits on that one as well! I'm aware that these changes are much more than texture changes, but this is what I'd try to do with the model!

Woah. This is my favorite fan-edit so far. Massive improvement. I love the helmet plume added back and the realistic chestplate. I think you've nailed it.

I still don't like the blue 'plastic' sword, but I'd accept this compromise. The armor is more important than the sword design in my opinion.

Just hiding her face would be enough for me. Her face being visible through the helmet is just so weird after getting accustomed to her current look.

I hope they don't do the same thing to Morde somehow, even if he is just some weird ass ghost.

IMO, reworks should have the first visual draft of the character colored in and made visible to those who want to spoil the secret, riot can obtain major community feedback from, and then kept quiet like usual until the first teaser that shows the model. then, after the teaser that shows the model (and subsequently the PBE next day), then MINOR changes can be done.

That way, the travesty that was the current kayle's "armor", lackluster helmet, and weirdly over-emphasized thighs, could've been noted early. That way the community can get their first comment about design in, then a while after that the pro players and mains who riot invites over can speak their mind on it, and then finally the release happens and last-minute changes like aatrox's banner-wings and the pretty underwhelming edits we're getting will be considered. Rito could still reject ideas if they weren't a viable choice, the players would be happier, and although the hype might get spoiled a little the end product of stuff can sometimes be vastly VASTLY different from what originally is show. Like have you seen the concept art for Kai'sa and Neeko? Imagine how different it'd be with community imput to change features that weren't liked.

This is all one big pipe-dream though, rito doesn't listen to their playerbase all that much, but ohwell.png [zombie-nunu-bummed]

I like every change you made. The plume, the shadow in the helmet, the round platebody. I don't care too much about the drape between the legs, I don't think they're necessary.

I usually like sexy champions and dislike when they desexualize them. But for Kayle, I dislike the opposite. I love about her how gender neutral she is. A friend of mine thought she was the coolest champion in the game but was shocked when he realized she's female. If there's one champion that shouldn't have tight-fit armor, it's her. The original version looks like a stretch suit of a modern super hero more than armor of a knight. It looks even more forced than the Galio superhero rework.

I don't like the weird thing that goes from her shoulders to her neck, it doesn't work with either design, though even less so with Riot's. I believe the pauldrons should be re oriented or have their shape change if the weirdness of that armor piece can't be helped.... Am I the only one that feels like the standard on old Kayle is as important as her big sword, despite maybe not being the biggest part of her silhouette? I also think he standard should either be left blank or have a very simple design. Another thing, maybe see what a layered chest plate would look like? Otherwise I love your version of Kayle, especially the wing color, I would definitely play her. Actual last thought I will edit in: maybe it's the coloration/ lighting of that weird trapezius/back guard???

The armor is what made her unique compared to all other female champions, especially when 3 of her skins is more revealing.

It looks like Riot just completely based her new outfit entirely on Guardian Angel's look. item 3026

Meanwhile she should be looking like a mix between item 3109 Knight's Vow and item 3105 Agei's armor. Nothing really pisses me off more than the fact that she lacks real armor. They pulled the "fantasy armor" on her. ( More skin-tight / skimpy > Actual protection. )

Looking at it side by side you can see exactly what I mean. All of her curves and body is exposed as opposed to normal Kayle who cares only not to be struck down.

Ideally, she should start off like this until becoming ranged. As before level 11 she's a melee bruiser. THIS is Targonian armor. Again, looking at champions like Pantheon and Leona . I don't care if you're a descent of a god or aspect, you should protect yourself.

Make her look less like Dawnbringer Riven and more like the Guardian Angel she really is. ESPECIALLY with those clothes.

At this moment if Riot passes up the chance to change it to this, she might as well be a different champion.

Even with this design compared to the old OG design, the sex appeal is still there. The cloth shows her curves and her reworked proportions are already enough. It's okay to give her slim armor but goddammit Riot let her be the knight she is. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

#And for the love of freakin' god, please give Morgana her scar back!

I didn't think I would see the words "face hidden" and agree, but solely for the fact the black contrasts so much better and makes it look much more like a face - her current skin tone blends into the gold detail on her helmet, making it look like she's wearing a complete sealed helmet.

Original is better, but I like the helmet from your edit. It also looks better in the game, probably because of the overall colors. Original helmet opening (also known as "skin" or "face" :p) is too similar to the color of the armor, so it just kind of melts together. In your helmet, at least you see there's an opening to eyes etc. The top of the helmet also looks more interesting in your version.

So... I'd just slap 'your' helmet on 'their' body and call it a day. :d

Anyways they said they'll modify their version to look less like skin-tight suit, so I'm still waiting to see it.

i don't mind her body suit but the color scheme is so unappealing and her helmet is so ugly, i prefer the face being invisible as well.
