My Thoughts on Kindred and Olaf/The Winter's Claw

So a while ago, I commented on this post http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/RVkGZ878-riot-which-half-of-kindred-gets-olaf-when-he-dies saying what I think the relationship between the Kindred and Winter's Claw people is like. I had thought about this relationship before, so I just want more people to see my response because it's a flippin' thought-out response that I put too much time into.

I've always felt that Olaf (and most Winter's Claw people) would run from death, but not out of fear. More out of fun, and they'd kind of laugh as they do it. Like, they'd only run from death so that they could honor Wolf with a good chase. Kind of a "Come and get me, Death! Ha HA!" situation. I hope this makes sense.

I'll try explaining it in a different way: Olaf's people fight to achieve a good death, but it's dishonorable to NOT fight your ABSOLUTE hardest, which makes it hard to die. You can't purposely die on the battle field, that would be lying. So they are simultaneously accepting death but not allowing themselves to die I guess?

I can only visualize from your comment Olaf frolicking away from Kindred like an elf saying "Teehee, come and get me death! Teehee."

But seriously though, if Olaf and his people saw death coming for them, they would gladly but the fight back at them/him/her.

I actually really like this idea. Well thought out. The idea that they would run in order to honor Wolf with a great chase seems like the way Olaf, or any real warrior (Noxians included) would do it. It's kind of like a final test of their strength and resolve.

Except, Wolf chases those who do not accept their death. Olaf and those like him embrace death wholeheartedly. If anything, Olaf is trying his hardest to avoid his preordained peaceful death. The kind of people who wolf chases after are cowards. And Olaf is no coward

Olaf is originally from Lokfarr, not the Winter's Claw.
