Why change the splash art on Darius?

As a Darius main I'm confused as to why they changed the old Darius splash art. Sure the new splash art depicts him in the thick of things in battle but the old splash art showed him straight dominating his opponents and in front of his whole army demonstrating that he is leading them. Why the change? It's like the old Katarina splash where the old one was great but the new one is eh
