i dont think singed knew who the "cutthroat" was besides just being a cutthroat

and besides when you are losing yourself what is the best way of reminding yourself of who you are than saying your own name

I don't think that he muttered Soraka's name, given that he wouldn't know about her yet. Even in the old lore, it is Singed, and NOT Warwick that engineers the serum for Warwick and divulges the knowledge that it's the heart of a Celestial that will stabilize it - Warwick didn't know or care about Soraka until he needed to rip her heart out. Time warp to the modern story. We know via Camille's interactions with Singed that he's trying to create an elixir of immortality. We know from this short story's opening that Singed is trying to create the perfect hunter. Put two and two together and you'll realize why - Singed wants Soraka's heart for his elixir of immortality, and he needs someone or something to hunt it down and bring it to him. This is why he's gone through so much painstaking effort to create a feral beast like Warwick - and this is exactly why Warwick wouldn't have uttered Soraka's name. Furthermore, Soraka resides in Ionia. When Singed took the name uttered by Warwick as a start for his search and set up his lab again, he didn't move to Ionia and create an outpost there - he relocated his lab in Zaun. I would think he'd have mentioned if he had to go overseas, and the fact that he didn't and that his creation is running amok in Zaun is proof enough that Singed is trying to locate his hunter before setting off to find Soraka.

So instead of Warwick being this scientist who wanted to be the ultimate hunter, he was some cutthroat that Singed kidnapped and experimented on, causing massive changes in Warwick's body, attitude, and killing prowess?

I like it.

Oh, and for anyone wondering, I don't think Warwick is actually going to have a full metal hand, more so either a fully fleshed hand that grew into the casting or a hand that used the metal frame to grow around and develop.

That was the impression I got, too. It's a cybernetic augmented that the new limb was supposed to grow into, a scaffolding since the regeneration of the flesh was outpacing the bone.

I don't think we should fully go with Singed's description of Warwick, he might have just seen him as some guy in a brawl on the street but aside from that I don't think they have a past.

Singed said warwick was a cutthroat trying to blend in with society. I imagine he was a type of character like Dexter peaceable on the surface but under the facade he is a killer. The pain from the experiment caused him to want to become a good man if it saved him. (pleading) At least that's how I took it. Hoping to learn more soon!

it's not Warwick. His biography also got released. "Warwick was once a man revered for his ability to track down human specimens for the darkest types of scientific research. When his ambitions exceeded his physical limits, he drank a dangerous elixir to transform himself into an unstoppable manhunter. His newfound strength bore a heavy price."

He still drank an elixer made by singed. Singed is his longtime friend and basicly it's the same shit except he wasn't known for his alchemy but obtaining subjects. He also got his ass beat by soraka.

Doubt it. Transformation via alchemy tends to have permanent effects. Not to mention it seems that Singed has altered the dude's very skeleton with metal.
