Crazy theory --- VALORANT is set in future Runterra

This is based on 2 pieces of information. Heaps of speculation, and I'll concede there's a huge chance I'm wrong.

  1. The literal name of the game. VALORANT. Valoran is an entire continent in Runeterra. Considering Riot claimed that this was going to be a separate ip from LoL it seems a bit counter-intuitive to do this, no?

  2. There is an icon, on the chest of one of the Valorant characters that has an icon that looks like a simplified Shuriman icon. You can see it in this leaked image

All information is NOT CONFIRMED, but there is no doubt in my mind it is all real, as Riot has filed trademarks for this name, has a twitter account that has the phrase "Episode 1: Rise of Viper" and one of the unnamed sentinels is in the Project A trailer.

Normally I'd say that this would be likely true, but hasn't riot outright said that the game takes place on earth?

And even if the game plays on runeterra, it might end up being part of an Alternate Universe.

Ok, I have absolutely no idea what this is. I'm guessing the shooter? could you provide a link to where this info came from?

i doubt that they will put Yordles Vastaya, or any other random race in that game, so no.

And Riot already said that its not connected to the lore of LoL
