I'm here to talk about Kha'Zix. Don't get me wrong it's not a complain about the fact he got a new skin after a year or so. I just want to know why he has been chosen over so many champions for this skin. How does this thematic fits him better that let's say Karthus. You could make beautiful things with Karthus or let's say Xerath. Why the Skin team went for Kha'Zix ?

The thematic of the Dark Star line of skins is the concept of Eldritch, universal sized beings that make it their goal to consume the universe. Kha'zix, being a voidborn - in which their theme is to consume anyways - is a perfect candidate to receive the skin. As he is a jungler it just makes it that bit more sweet.
While timethief sums it up pretty well below, you're right in that there are others that could work better. Dark star Viktor, maybe. Or perhaps Dark Star Lux (though that could still happen someday, when she can get a skin again)
Karthus or Xerath are not Junglers. Riot probably wanted Jungle mains to be able to play Dark Star.
As a Kha'Zix main, i absolutely don´t know the reason why Riot decided to give him the skin, I never expected him to fit in the thematic.
But I love it!!!
