@Riot team, im a colorblind person with protanopia as the official diagnosis of my colorblindess type and i just played against a lunar wraith caitlyn for the first time and i physically could not see her traps at all, i could barely see the red circle around where they were but i couldnt see what was inside them. could we make them a bit brighter or something because they blend in so well i can't play against this skin.

i stepped on so many traps without seeing them x_x

I'ma get the team to take a look at this. Thanks for the report. I realized I was somewhat colorblind too when I argued that "P2" in melee was purple, not blue. >_>

When you have monochromasia, you only see in shades of gray, no colors. So Red is gray, blue is gray, pink is gray, ect...

For the person, it's completely normal and there nothing wrong about it.

They look completely visible to me, im all for fixing this problem and i feel bad for people going through what OP are going through but that picture looks fine. i could easily see and play with her traps like that. is it just me or?

It's easy to see them when it's that close but when you're actually playing the game they'll be further back. When you zoom out of the image to scale with the game all you can pretty much see is a little dot and circle.

I scaled my screen to 33% where cait was about half the size i see her in game and still saw it pretty easily. No t trying to argue, just dont understand how this isnt clearly visible

They're pretty hard to see in a bush regardless because theyre transparent, i just dont see the correlation. OP says they can NOT see anything but a small circle at any point and i can quite clearly see the entire trap in the graphic. im not being negative, i genuinely pity anyone who has to deal with a handicap like that, just trying to understand the picture lol

I'm with you here, totally sympathize with anyone that has dissability, visual or otherwise. But I too find it easy to see them in that image. I have to assume that it's a very poor representation of what OP is seeing in game.

This isn't "guy who already can't see caitlyn traps has harder time seeing caitlyn traps", this is "guy who has no problem seeing base skin caitlyn trips literally can't see lunar wraith caitlyn traps". I kinda wish he hadn't posted the picture because the only true litmus for what he experiences would be to play a game colorblind, and I don't think that kind of technology exists (which is probably why Riot misses stuff like this).

You completely missed my point, i just wanna know if that is what it looks like to OP because it looks fairly normal to me. Is that picture an inaccurate represenation or am i the only one having an easy time seeing them in that picture?

it is patently an inaccurate representation because we can't know OPs specific conditions without seeing through his eyes, which was my point. based on his descriptions it sounds to me like the primary colors used to differentiate both the framework of the trap and the mechanics of the trap both are shades of the same color to OP, and the color he sees is the same/similar as the color of the ground in a lot of places in summoner's rift, making it essentially "disappear" for him. Since what was posted is just a sepia toned version of summoner's rift, it's not an exact representation of what OP sees.

yes, it helps with a lot of things but these traps are just flat out impossible to see.

Keep in mind its hard for a colorblind mode to actually work unless they make 3 different versions of colorblind mode to apply to all 3 "major" types of colorblindness.

Of note: have you played Overwatch? They actually have complete colorblindness settings for all three types. If what they do there works, it would be a good place for Riot to look for helping colorblind players able to play on a fair field.

I LOVE overwatches colorblindmode options, they are SUPER helpful and its nice thers always a vocal queue for anything happening as well so i never feel at a disadvantage. Its normally not that bad in this game but i just could not see them during my recent match, didn't help that i was a zyra and well. 2 shots and i was dead ;;

League of Legends "colourblind" system is poor, unfortunately it only helps those who are Tritanopia. Deuteranopia and Protanopia will make no use of League's "colourblind mode".

I feel like colorblind mode only impacts things like health bar color and minimap icons. I could be wrong though, as I'm not colorblind. I just use colorblind mode because the yellow health bar stands out better for me.

Certain enemy attacks have their colors changed so they're more detectable. Singed poison is blue for example as opposed to brownish green in normal

I hate to be a devil's advocate, but there is an option for fully blind ppl to get their eyesight back. Not completely sure about color blindness tho
