So about the Mecha skins.

Since now there are 8 or 10 Star Guardian skins and the guardians got their own enemies, the Space Void creatures and all of that, that's what they fight and they make sense. But now that we have the Mecha skins are underdeveloped cause they're based of mechs and Pacific Rim's Jaegers. They're just giant champions made into Jaegers for no reason. I know the new Pacific Rim film is comming out and it would be kind of weird for riot to now relese some more mechas or even Kaiju skins. Other skin groups have stories, like the Star Guardians, Battlecast, heck even Pool Party tells some story in their splash arts, but none of the mechas have any story nor is there any sense for them to exist. I like the little lore hints in skins and all but an crazy Mecha like Zero Sion is cool but that's not enough. They would defeat him some day and what ? That's all they make no sense and i would really love some Kaiju skins, but not for stupid ass Cho'gath again and Rek'sai since they are already giant monsters. Maybe something more unique.

I think the Dark Star skins are the enemies of the Star Guardian

I always thought that battlecast, mechanical, project and full metal were all part of the same "lore"

About the Pacific Rim thing, I'm pretty sure they're not based solely on that. The only Pacific Rim one is Mecha Aatrox. Mecha Malphite is an evangelion and Mecha Zero Sion is a transformer. Don't know about Mecha Kha'Zix though.
