Personally, I just want to keep the bite(and specific buffs for whatever is chomped) in the kit and possibly have Nunu do some some work so it isn't all Willump.

Make Nunu 2-player mode. 1 player plays Nunu, the other plays Willump.

Yeah the HotS people will moan a bit about how "Riot steals from Blizzard", but who cares, you can't copyright game mechanics and it's not like Blizzard didn't literally have stealing as their entire career (Warcraft franchise was originally a ripoff of Warhammer, Warcraft went MMO as an attempt to copy Everquest's success, Starcraft started as a ripoff of Warhammer 40k and perhaps Command and Conquer, then you have HotS as a direct response to the MOBA/ARTS frenzy set by other people, Overwatch as a direct response to the hero shooter frenzy set by other people, and Hearthstone as a direct response to the CCG frenzy set by other people; literally the only bigger titles that's actually original and genuine out of Blizzard is probably just Diablo, so it's not really that they have the right to complain about ripoffs and element borrowing when other people do it).

right now most people think that Nunu is the yeti, maybe they could do something about that

Overall I think his ult is the only ability that feels like it might be worth keeping and even then the ult would need some changes, because currently it relies on tricking people into walking into it,while you sit in a brush and it is not visible.

Ah Killaburn, I knew it was only a matter of time before you posted another post about reworking Nunu lol

Anyway, I feel like his Ult and Snowball should stay. Also, Nunu doesn't really DO anything. It's mostly Willump, so I think that he should have the chance to do something on his own. It's not entirely new, as Riot has been doing a lot of duo champs recently (Kled/Skaarl, Xayah/Rakan, Kayn/Rhaast, etc.)

Nunu is absolutely one of my most favorite champs to Support with. He's a run-and-gun type champ where he pokes you to death, remains super speedy, and any poke he takes is offset with his Consume.

I hope they keep that element. I hate his ult for anything other than slowing down escaping ADCs.

As I see it, Nunu suffers from a split identity issue. He relies on AP for his E and R to do damage, but if you invest in AP to be more than a slowing machine, you are way too squishy to survive a well executed Ult. If you focus on building tanky then all you are good for is slows (which is a pretty forgettable CC) and neutral monster control.

So... Passive needs touched up. A spell without mana cost is nice, but pretty sad in comparison to others. I don't have a passive concept for the rest of this kit.

Q is mostly fine. It would be much better if it was usable against champs for lower damage than vs minions/monsters. It feels too narrow in use currently.

W is just godawful. On the face of it a move speed and attack speed buff for you and an ally sounds good, but in practice isn't great for an ally and faster noodle slaps from Nunu is just trash. Complete replacement is best. My idea of a replacement... Grapnel - Nunu throws out a grappling hook on a rope. If it connects to terrain, Nunu can reactivate this skill to have Willump grab the line and yank the duo to the hooks connection point. If Nunu throws the line to open ground, the hook can be grabbed by an ally and Willump will pull them together. (Basically Nautilus dredge line but works only to pull two allies together.) If the grapple strikes an enemy champion, it deals 5 true damage per champ level (no scaling) and falls to that spot on the ground for half the duration it could be grabbed by an ally. Grapnel passes through minions and neutral monsters.

E is mostly fine. It could be tweaked as a skillshot with a bit longer range and maybe a tiny AoE for a little more interaction, but is OK.

R could use some love. It's a fun skill, but if you don't have another group CC skill on your team it's very hard to get the most from it. So here's an idea to incorporate the idea of Nunu being a little mountaineer with a yeti pal. R- Avalanche Duo - Nunu takes a flying leap from Willump's back, burying a pair of climbing axes into his landing spot. Willump grabs the ropes attached to these axes, leaps up, and after a short delay yanks himself to slam down in the same spot. These leaps can pass over walls, with the size of walls passable scale up with ranks. While separate for that brief period, both Nunu and Willump can be targeted by enemies and share the same HP. Defensive items if used, such as Zhonyas or Barrier would only affect Nunu. Nunu's initial impact area is small, deals minor damage, and applies a short slow. Willump creates two diameters, his moderate sized impact AoE knocks up enemies and does major damage, while the broader blast of arctic air he creates around his landing spot does moderate damage and a minor slow.

Honestly I have no idea how Nunu should stay in his rework. His ult is one of his more iconic abilities that he has so that for sure has to stay, maybe have some tweeks to it or somrthing, and possibly his Q if he's going to remain a counter jungler, which more than likely he'll be pushed towards in a similar way to Ivern being a support jungler.

And complete personal opinion, I wouldn't mind if they just turned Willump into the main champ and renamed him Nunu, cause honestly that's who I feel is the real champ. Nunu (the kid) really doesn't do jack shit in game except throw the snowballs if I recall. I always feel like I'm playing more of a Yeti than a Yeti rider. Who knows, maybe when they get around to it they will actually make it feel like that yeti rider feel like they did with Kled, but until then I stand by my opinion.

Entirely rework Passive Modify Q Entirely rework W Modify E heavily Modify R, but keep the same general theme/ability in his kit

Solidair38/27/2017, 4:20:44 PM1 votes

First, they should be called Nunu and Willump.

Keep focus on counterjungling but make him less overbearing and give him more things to do in a teamfight. Hoping you can land a big ult and then being pretty useless shouldn't be all he is.

W should be removed and reworked entirely.

MysterQ8/25/2017, 6:46:18 AM1 votes

Champion Nunu Mage 4 Ap Scales abilities.

Champion Willump Vanguard? 4 Jungle themed abilities

Special feature, in proximity Nunu can ride Willump. He lose loss control of his movements but can continue to cast and attack. Allows him to not be an immobile sack of useless when he Ults to "zone."

I mean Riot has shown they are clearly working ina realm of "duo" type champs with XayahRakan KaynRhaast. Nunu Willump would be HUGE step in the land of duo champs.

Change the passive; Visionary doesn't really make sense. A cool passive would be Nunu chucking snowballs at random champions/minion in addition to Nunu's melee autoattacks.

Keep the Q and R having good ratios. These don't necessarily have to be retained as Ult and basic skills but they realy are fun and simple aspects to the champion that makes him easy to pick up and understand.

I would do away with Consume and maybe work Bloodboil into another skill as a passive. Consume feels weird since it really dampens Nunu's character with that of Willump. Are you playing as the yeti or as the kid with the yeti?

What we keep lorewise:

Nunu is Avarosan.

I want him to stay as a supportive jungler tank rather than a "dash at the enemy and CC them to death" tank. Question is, how does Riot make another dedicated support jungler without overlapping with Ivern?

Escheton8/25/2017, 10:22:20 AM1 votes

The objective control due to a monster execute so you can smite at higher numbers. Snowball (something ranged, maybe a skillshot) Being a fast annoying tanky bastard that drive-by heals off jungle monsters as you chase him.

Illâoi Evê Siôn8/25/2017, 10:36:41 AM1 votes

I want him to be able to roll up snowballs and stockpile them around himself like Bard Shrines, then he can pick them up when he wants to and throw them at enemies (or he can just throw them right away if he needs to). Snowball size would increase with roll up time, but placed snowballs would always have a set size.

I made a concept thread here. I still like the lumps of snow concept, but I don't like its execution there.
