I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews on Kayle. I think overall aside from her oddly placed wings Morgana hit close to the mark while Kayle seems to be all over the place.

Let me know what you think. What do you think about Kayles overall aesthetic design? The options are.

Excellent: Aside from minor adjustments (like bigger wings), the overall design is great!

More Armor: The most common complain is that she is missing too much armor, primarily around her lower torso/abdomen. This option would just be slapping chunks/armor/garments onto her new design.

Overhaul: Heavily modify both the feeling and aesthetics of the armor. Completely revamp it.

I think if they fixed her horrible looking neck and make the armor a little more bulky, Kayle will look great.

I don't think it's that bad I just don't want the unnecessary sexualization and want her to have bigger wings.

i selected overhual i think her design is boring with crappy colors and plain armor, just look at marauder ashe, she looks sexy af, and doesnt have practical armor. BUT IT LOOKS COOL

While I appreciate the sentiment. I think, if you have a reddit account, instead head over to KayleMains and ask them.

Their opinion about the design is far more important than a crotchety old man who doesn’t play the champ, such as myself.

Old Kayle design + new Kayle ability particles would be ideal. Six wings would be a fine stylistic addition too. The new armor, body, and face are otherwise drastically worse. Also the blue plastic sword looks dreadful. This is not a quality improvement and should not be released anywhere close to what is shown in the preview.

I play with the Iron Inquisitor skin so hopefully that one isn't ruined like the classic skin apparently is.

I still have hopes that the new kit could be good.

Not that I disagree that Kayle might need a bit more work, but at this point in order to address the pain points that people are bringing up, Rito would need to change the model itself and not just update the textures. This means updating animations too, which would probably significantly setback Kayle's release date. Some people may say that that's worth it, but I kinda want to play the new Kayle sooner rather than later.

I'm not satisfied with the tentative state of Kayle's update. The wings don't look functional. Sure, they flap, but they lack the proper shape to do so. While it's a nitpick, the departure from functional wing shapes is emphasized with the new design. Her face, while not really an issue from a player's camera view, has a jarringly inhuman look (and not in an ethereal/heavenly way). Her breastplate design makes me feel like I'm looking at an underaged gymnast, which is exacerbated by the prominence of her cuisses, which give the illusion of a fuller ass and thighs. The contrast is dissonant. Jinx's flatness doesn't cause that visual discomfort.

Man, that description just sounds creepy.

This is off topic, but the word you want is "aesthetic." Ascetic describes a form of self-discipline. Aesthetics pertain to appearances.

I think more armor and a return to her gold and red colour scheme. I'm not a huge fan of her hair colour or her hairstyle either. I think it should be less punky and more practical, otherwise it's ok.

Personally would love to see the following:

bigger wings
more armor

Someone rather eloquently said that her lack of sexual features was a contrast to her sister. I’m guessing the work required at this point may be impossible, but I hope Riot at least tries.

I voted for overhaul. Loved the multiple wings, so they could stay (although maybe a little bit bigger would help), but she needs more armor. I would also do a big revamp for the armor design and the white/gold color scheme in general, since she looked a bit too much like Galio for my tastes. Perhaps maybe try to give her a different body shape, face shape, or hair style while I'm at it (her old hair style suited her way better, and while the face isn't the biggest deal with Kayle, to me the only requirement that needs to stay is that she needs to look somewhat like Morgana. And I'm sure it wouldn't kill Riot for both of them to have a slightly more diverse face from the other female characters).

My only complaint is I think they should have gone with silver armor for the base instead of white, but that's not a biggie.

Those shoulders have got to go, so I voted for 'overhaul' here. Why would people play the champ if the default skin looks bad? Even if the shoulder armor looks normal on every other skin, which would be a good thing mind you, it would still make Riot seem cheap.

I don't want to be overly critical, maybe my expectations for their reworks were way too high.

I miss Kayle's armor (or anything will do instead of that tight suit/spandex); large, majestic wings; long, flowing, golden hair (or white) even if I only say it in a couple of skins.

I miss Morg's large, tattered wings and her long hair was better for me too, although won't mind it being shorter if it hadn't looked as much as Xayah's.

I don't like the way they seem to have repurposed stuff from other characters such as Xayah, Evalyn, Dawnbringer Riven, Super Galaxy Shyvana, Bullet Angel Kai'Sa, and Star Guardian Soraka's "butt" wings.
