After Shurima, Bilgewater and Targon is... Void?

Hi everyone, so I was catching up on all the lore I missed/ barely read, and after reading and hearing champ quotes it seems that the next event or relevant lore champion might be Void related.

As I previously said the next event might be Void related or at least a future champion. There seems to be this build up for a Void invasion in the Lore as in recently the Void has played a major role in the lore of certain champions like Aurelion Sol, that was used to close a bridge between the Void and Runneterra, the same bridge that created chaos in Targon's rule that allowed Aurelion Sol to regain part of his will to resiste the crowns submissions. Taric, that is warned about the Void, and how he will be the one facing the waves of horrors. Diana appears to fight Void like creatures in the night. The Void's invasion is also indirectly hinted at in both Leona and Pantheon's new lore.

We now know that there were other Anscended besides Nasus and Renekton prior to Azir and Xerath, the name of one such Ascended being Setaka, the original owner of what is now Sivir's blade. Setaka ended up passing away milenias ago fighting alongside Nasus against " monsters on the eve of Icathia's doom" which makes a connection to Malzahar who is the Voids prophet, turned in the ruins of Icathia were a rift between the Void and the "main" plane of existence might exist that only needs a guiding hand, that hand being Malzahar. We also know Shurima is (as of now) where the breach between Void and Runeterra existes and were most Void creatures known to us "reside".

Recently, champions have a good amount of quotes for Void champions, like Talyiah and rework Taric.

This is about as much as I was able to dig up, however, I can't ignore the fact that the Void is getting more attention in more recent content, Targon's new lore can be resumed as a warning to the coming invasion from the Void. Please do tell if I forgot anything (mosy likely did). I don't know if this was mentioned in any previous post. We might expect something from the Void in the future be it a champion and/or event with lore rework or simply lore rework.

Lastly what do you all think? And if not the Void what would you like the next event to based on?

EDIT: Posted this on Reddit, and thought it might be good to post it here too.

I would like Freljord lore, but I think we have holes in Noxus, Demacia, and the void that need filling.

Don't forget Bandle city!

I would really like to see more lore about Zaun and other experiments besides ZAC. I would also like more story about the Yordles and their relationships with each other if any.

I think there is a good chance for the void to get a lore update(or event) this year.

Though it is possible that the voids role in the recent lores is just a coincidence since the newest lore updates were done mostly because of AurelionSol and Taliyah and their nations just happen to be connected to the void.

Overall though I think a piltover/zaun event is also very likely given the fact that they said already that jhin will go to zaun and meet cait&vi there(which is oddly specific,so it sounds like they had already something in the works),the upcoming siege-mode also seems quite hextech-oriented,so it could be related to an event for these states(like black market brawler and ascension for bilgewater and shurima)

Jaredan said that we'll see Riot delve into yordles a bit later this year. I assume he's talking about a Targon/Shurima-esque thing, at the very least.

He's also been biting his lip a lot recently, hinting that they have so many plans for Varus, so he might just take a part in a new lore arc.

personally I would like to see whats going on in Zaun and maybe piltover. Zaun has a lot of lore potential, with it being a city overrun with crime and inhumane science experiments. its like Gotham

you're forgetting Frejlord, Noxus, the Shadow Isles, and Demacia. #more champs like Braum pls

Bandle City, Noxus, Demacia, Void, Zaun (and for the love of god do not let whoever wrote 6.9 notes on Viktor so much as ENTER THE BUILDING while they rewrite Zaun) Piltover, Shadow Isles revisit, Frejlord, and literally everything else before Ionia.

That's an actual prioritization based on need.

I would like to see a new void champion. Hopefully a supporter, since it is the last role we don't have a void creature for. And a void related event could be great. Like they could make it a war between the void and the rest of the world. In game they could replace the minions of the red side for void creatures.

We're getting the stage set for that big time, yeah. There's gonna be a Void outbreak eventually. A big outbreak. Just let them set the stage properly and we'll have some real fun with that.

I would like Ionia to be updated, but unfortunately it was the last place (or one for the last places) to be updated before the Retcon, which means it's likely around the bottom of the list, even though there are still multiple Ionian champs that still have mention of the Institute of war in their lores.

I know they have plans to update Ionia, but how long that will be is unknown. Still, at least it seems they are able to update the lore every 2 months or so, unlike class updates they can only fit 2 in a year. If they can keep up that pace, then I can wait as long as I need to for Ionia.
