A common fanship but is it plausible in lore?
Especially with new lore showing Syndra doubling down on the insanity, lust for power, and hatred for Ionia.
While Zed is now more of an Ionian extremist willing to go any length no matter the cost to destroy all those who threaten Ionia.
I'd say, Zed probably sees Syndra AS a threat to Ionia...
But we can't know for certain, because as yet they haven't met.
I mean, Kata and Garen are enemies, but people ship that to no end.
Love can bloom on the battlefield, can it not?
Not that I'm for or against the ship, but willing to see the credibility.
Wukong x Ahri so make sense and should be canon ship more than Zed x Syndra.

Zed x Syndra is an odd ship to me. Just like Lux X Ezreal, it's a more common ship in other regions then NA, where it receives scrutiny a lot of the time.

You just answered your own question. Syndra only lusts for power, not dick. She's focused on her objectives and not in romantic affairs
I think this mainly became such a hyped fanship because of that comic someone did in err not sure some Asian language (korean?). Very well drawn, very cute, very much zed x syndra. Think it's purely based on their desire for absolute power and their ties to Ionia.
But I haven't really read Zed's lore cause I hate the champion, so this is based on some general idea of his old lore. If Zed is now suddenly an extremist defender of Ionia then I'd say their only link is severed and they don't work.
I know another common fanship that still works though: Caitlyn and Vi, when are we getting them officially out of the closet and cannon? >:D Never? Okay rip my dreams :(
