tbh i like league not bcs of its gameplay anymore,
because of how well the stories, lores are written, and all that amazing art. :P does anyone also like league bcs of its stories aswell?

Pretty much, I only really keep coming back to play these days because I love the characters.
I don't much care for MMOs of any sort, be they MOBAs or MMORPGs. The lore is the only reason I've stuck with League for as long as I have.
Nope. The lore is constantly changing, retcons happen with every update so not worth investing in it. Both the gameplay and lore are mediocre However, art is amazing
Hardly play the game these days; I just like to stay updated with all the awesome lore and art (especially VGUs). Really hoping we'll get a new League game soon that's a better platform for story content and pushes the narrative/worldbuilding forward.
The art is good, the writing...eh. The character design? eeehhhhhhhhh.
I think design has been really questionable lately.
Kai'sa, for one, is notoriously incomplete, boring, and bland.
New Irelia: Who's idea was it to arbitrarily decide her age should be 14 when we all know how famously glorified her ass is in the community? They even designed her new frostblade splash around preserving the ass shot. I can't even call it accidentally sexualizing a kid because there's no way that kind of decision would go through without anyone noticing how creepy it is.
Zoey: typical Loli design of child looking girl with superficially nonsensical old age, here's your bone, kiddie diddlers.
Stories are ok, but sometimes, they can just be better. Rengar's, for example, is pretty underwhelming. Sometimes the stories are really good, like Skarner's.
But some champions do keep me coming back when the game itself feels terrible.
Same. I don't play a champ unless I also like their lore (f*** all Targonians except Sol Targon sucks)
The game has a lore? Oh, damn. The League lore to me is by far the least interesting thing. There are so many gaps and since I've started playing in 2009 (yes, a long time ago) there have been so many substantial lore changes, some characters getting a huge backstory, while others have been completely neglected since this game started. After like three years I lost all interest in lore, since it's gotten super messy with characters who basically don't have any meaningful backstory, while others started getting actually good stories, then some being changed again, reworks completely changing the character etc. Lore has been more frustrating to me than losing streaks in ranked games.
I absolutely adore the art and general character themes, but I don't trust Riot regarding lore...too many changes over the last nine years.
I was actually more attracted by lore when I started playing LOL, I played
just because of his lore and voice.
Now I still like to check the biography of my new mains. As an example I really loved the
's idea
Yeah actually , The only reason why I can't stop playing is the characters and skin , my friend who quit the game still hates the fact that Nami exists only in this game
I agree.
Pretty much this. League to me, as an actual game, is kind of slowly dying in the gutter for me. This season has just really hurt, if not killed, my will to enjoy the game nowadays.
BUT in terms of characters, story, art, and music, it's dramatically improved. I love a lot of the splash art, the stories behind some of the events in these alternate universes, the stories in the base lore, it's great.
And sadly that ALL that's keeping me in League. With stories coming out too slowly and how Riot's been handling the game (depending on how next season will fare), it's not really going to be a whole lot till I say that even the cool lore of League can keep me interested in the game.
The sad thing is, back in the day art AND gameplay were awesome. The art and music departments are still doing a wonderful job, while the balancing department just straight up smokes crack or something.
Too bad they will never reach same big lore as Blizzard xD
I’d read all the lore and character stuff but...frankly? I get confused too easily and I become frustrated so I just save myself the headache.
Yeah who needs balance when you can make a loli who is apparently 1,000+ years old to justify it and sell skins.
Won't love new lore until we get summoners back.
I agree why would anyone love gameplay of this garbage
"Good" is a relative term.
I read voraciously and I think I may some sense of perspective on the boundaries of literary prowess. LOL's lore doesn't fall even near the ballpark of "great writing". It lacks ...personality. If it were sold as a book, I would not buy it.
That being said...
For its intended purpose and compared to its competitors LOL has good lore.
