Runeterra: The Space Drama
So being a big fan of Star Wars and League I was bored the other day and started thinking of Runeterra on a bigger scale. What if instead of nations fighting nations but entire star systems.
The canon and lore of current league would be untouched, just put it in space and planetary conflict.
still creates stars and plants, but the space faring Targonions would be inter-galactic space travelers and Mount Targon would be their base of operations. The Aspects of Targon would be how the Targonions create a presence in each Galaxy they visit to keep balance and order.
On the planet of Shurima they discover the power to harness the Sun's energy and create the Ascended and thus the Shuriman Empire spreads far and wide covering multiple star systems.
One planet, Icathia, is tired of the Shuriman rule and want freedom and begin an uprising attacking settlements and space stations of the Empire.
The Empress, Setaka, brings the entire Ascended Fleet and their War Host to Icathian space where a fierce battle is fought and Icathia is about to fall. In a last effort Icathian Mages rip a whole in space and time unleashing helllbent creaturres of the Void.
The Shuriman Empire prevailed but at a steep cost to not only the Empire but the Sunborn as well.
Many years past and the young prince 
goes to become Ascended like Emperors and Empresses of the past but is betrayed by his Magus 
and with Azir's death the great empire of Shurima falls and the Darkin war begins .
With no leader to follow and a loss of purpose many of the Ascended, the Sunborn God-Warriors, take war out on one another threatening to destroy all civilization as we know it. The Aspect of Change found one of these Sunborn who began feeling guilt for there actions and what they have done leading us to the Story "Twilight of the Gods" at a meeting we'll call "The Ascended Summit" where the Aspect of Change tricked the Sunborn killing all but three of the Sunborn who arrived. Leaving the rest to be hunted down and killed or turned into a weapon of mass destruction if ever unleashed.
In the outter rim of Runterra lays the Frelijord System. During the time of the Sunborn there was antoher powerful empire forming. That of the Frozen Watchers and the Iceborn. Not much is known about this ancient history except that the Iceborn revolted against their Watcher overlords sealing them in the black hole, The Howling Abyss, with hopes to never be seen again. But only time will tell.
With the lost of the Watchers the Iceborn began to fight amoung each other until only 3 remained and even they began to fight. This is what became known as The War of the Three Sisters. The system is now broken up into three factions, the Frost Guard, the Avorosan, and Winte's Claw.
In present time tensions are still brewing....
