I'm sure this is going to earn my about a million downvotes, but I actually quite like the new lore for Varus. The initial placeholder material made me angry, but, now with it fully updated I just wanted to say it's pretty decent.

If they had a good idea for a new character, they should have made a new character instead of erasing an old one. Riot said they learned a lesson along these lines when they re-did Trundle. Then they said it again when they re-did Fiora. Now they did it again with Varus and people are mad again and I feel like Riot is going to say "b-but we worked so hard on this music video please let us just make the same mistake a third time"
I think the lore itself is fine, I find his old and new stories roughly even in terms of quality. But the new Varus story with the old Varus voicework is just... what even.
