I don't know why, but i feel like she is younger in the pic. I mean, her hair are not the totally the same if you look her Splash Art, she don't have the "VI" on her cheek, and she is finally wearing NORMAL clothes and not an armor - ish weird thing. It's like a return to the past when she found the big robots hand in the mine.
After this final teaser I've come to a pretty solid conclusion.
In this case, Vi loses her gauntlets, a major characteristic trait for her. Yet there's one thing. The gauntlets also stopped her ambition. Vi wants peace, her being an officer and all. Yet she uses violence (the gauntlets) to enforce this peace, thus counteracting her wish.
Sona is a musician, known for playing the Etwahl and all that. Yet, she's a mute, due to an unknown curse that hinders her. In her teaser she was shot in the throat, which is where the vocal chords are.
Garen is a warrior for Demacia, a straight-justice kingdom that doesn't take mercy, only battle and justification. Garen's selection quote is: 'My heart, always for Demacia'. Yet, in the teaser...he's shot in the chest, presumably in the heart as well.
And finally: Zed. Zed was blinded or corrupted by the shadows once he opened the chest that contained them. In his teaser...he was shot through the eye, with a blue light being visible. Perhaps this shot had purified his mind?
It's not plausible to say that these champions are in fact dead. Considering the icons you see make them look like...they're sleeping, or in a comatose state. If anything they look more at peace than any other time. Could it be this person, Deadeye, Jhin, whatever you want to call them, is freeing them of the restraints that keep them from their dreams and ambitions?
She got shot in the back where the power coupling is. If you play Vi, you notice there's always an energy reading or circular light on her back. I'm assuming that's where the power source for her gloves are to help her hold them up and in place. Jihn shot the power coupling keeping the gloves together, and they completely fell off of her.

Just a note, not only are her gauntlets destroyed but it also seems like she was shot in the stomach by the small piercing light shown there.
Knew they'd rip off her arms.

Now this is interesting. Is this depicting Vi losing her gauntlets or gaining them? (Maybe some kind of metaphorical/Spiritual journey on how Vi equipped the gauntlets and became the crime fighter of justice she is today?)
Maybe everyone wanted a wish to come true, so this something did that. Maybe Vi wished to just live a normal life, stop being who she is secretly. Her pose is like she ascended, like she's something more now that the gauntlets aren't there.

weird stance... there is no bullet on her back. her stance makes it look like she was shot on the back and the impact of the shot made her make this stance in the picture but there is no shot in the back. instead it's in the front. but being shot from the front will result in a different stance. looking at it differently, it may not have been a shot, rather, an explotion
No, she's still wearing her normal outfit.
You can clearly make out the frill on the side of her corset thingy and her mini jacket. The rest is too dark to see, but it's probably safe to say she's wearing her normal clothes.

I think these teasers are about what the champions gave up to attain their powers. Zed lost his soul (often said to reside in the eyes which he doesn't have), Sona lost her voice, Garen is torn between his hear and duty, and Vi lost her memories, not sure what she traded them for except maybe her solitary criminal life for a chance at redemption. Not sure if Jhin took these things from them to grant them power like a genie or if it is taking the things they gained to remove their power. Could be a nod to its abilities a blind a silence an armor pen and a damage over time effect or burn. "Shrug" regardless I hope they do a cinematic to go with this Champ.
Everytime I see Vi, all I can think about is Chiffon Fairchild from Freezing... Dem arms...

ive seen a pretty convincing theory, that the new champion might be a djinn. theyre powerful tricksters and able to possess either objects or living beings.
he granted each of the 4 champions a favour, and twisted their wishes somehow.
wanted power, but he lost his soul for it.
wanted an instrument, or music and lost her voice for it.
wanted to find a worthy opponent, and fell in love with her when they met. (one that he isnt allowed to admit)
wanted a new life (not as a criminal), but lost her past for it.
i dont think its gonna be an adc. what people mistake for a gunshot are either drums or thunder. and what people mistake for bullet wounds seems to break free from the inside of these champions.
the places arent chosen at random. zeds eyes, zonas throat, garens heart, vis fists.
plus, it doesnt look like these champions are being killed. vi almost looks relieved as if shes breaking free of her gauntlets.
all of them got what they wanted but not the way they expected. for example vi is free of the violent life of a criminal, but not free of the violence in her life.
or maybe its a wish/nightmare to go back to her previous group
this deadeye seems to me like prophet, maybe he traded/lost his vision (blind) to be able to see the inner truth in each and every person plus jhin sounds like dhjin which is a genie

Waah, I totally called Vi getting hit in the hearth. You guys remember right, back in the Sona speculation thread on page 12? No? Well, I'm reminding ya all, so you better go look it up just so you can see how right I was!
Ahem, anyway we have a clear patter now. Zed in the eye, Sona in the throat and now Vi in the hearth. Wanna bet Garen gets hit in the head? (Should be around the temple by my estimation. Or maybe the ear).
The question is: are they hit by physical atacks, or are they affected by some kind of mental atack? Maybe these pictures are some kind of metaphor for the characters getting mentally crushed/manipulated/controlled?
