I just cannot comprehend how can ANYone think that this is better then current base splash.

She does not have any body curves exept legs.

No offence but to me it looks like flying toilet paper roll with face of Lara Croft from the first Tomb Raider. I have nothing agianst Michelle Hoefener I really love her Arcade Miss Fortune, Panda Annie and other works, but not this.

I'm not talking about the base art that we have now, I'm talking about the one we're supposed to get next patch. It's aesthetically a downgrade from the original, but something of this quality, and the fact that she looks like the other splashes (including the original), is something I'd personally like to see rather than the one on the PBE.

The skin has been on the PBE for over a month, it's very possible the person added RP then BEFORE they announced the bonus RP.

AS for OP, the art style looks like RiotZeronis' to me. So my guess would be him.

If i had to guess i think its probably Michelle Hoefener. Looks to be the same style(Look at snowstorm sivir) and she did a good job with pop star Ahri before.

Nope that's Challenger Ahri. It was originally called Dauntless Ahri but Riot changed it for some reason.

The only thing I find strange about this splash is the part circled in this http://i.imgur.com/Ls73fJq.jpg The circled area just seems strange to me, it looks kind of like Ahri is trying to sneak snacks into a theater.

As far as people arguing about best splash http://www.leagueoflegendsskins.com/images/champions/splash/Garen_5.jpg this is the most glorious splash.

Frankly this is amazing work, and I don't see why people are complaining. Ahri is supposed to be beautiful, that's true. But she's supposed to look like this. Think about it:Challenger/Dauntless Ahri. She's designed to be menacing in this splash, not 100% sexy. I don't see what the issue is with the new base splash either. Don't get me wrong, I like the splash, but the new one is pretty good, and I'd like to thank the creator for that.

I apologize if I come off brash, but I honestly don't see why people hate this or the new base splash.

The Challenger splash is great, and it actually looks like Ahri.

As for why we hate the base: It's not a good representation, its an aesthetic downgrade, the majority of the feedback was ignored and they opted to do easy fixes, one of those fixes was to arguably butcher her face, these modifications happened over a period of over 2 months where a new splash could have been made, and this looks more like an artist's interpretation rather than a drawing of something that already exists.

Notice how different it looks from every other one? I'm not just talking style, her physical structure is different from every single other splash. Don't get me wrong, it's a really good piece, but it's not Ahri.

For the "lets see you do better" people; I like chicken, a new fancy style is being prepared, and it might sound alright from the way it's described, but I don't need to be culinary master to see it's raw. I can appreciate the work put into it, but I wouldn't want to eat it.

Well, despite all the negative feedback (Look at the best comments in this PBE update for example) seems like they're going to totally ignore it and put this splash live because the next patch is going out tomorrow... thank you Riot well played -.-

Alright, thank you for explaining, I appreciate it. That also explains why she's still named Challenger Ahri. (Don't downvote me because you like the name, I'm impassive on it. But I'm simply saying the community feedback looks like it prefers Dauntless Ahri, not to mention it was changed without explanation)
