So I did some research on if Olaf was getting a Visual Rework and all I had come up with was a video of him getting a slight upgrade in 2014 but 2 of his skins are literally just him with different colors and he looks terrible compared to other champs. Not sure if its just me or not but I feel like he could use a Visual Update like Warwick got.
Even his 1850 Brolaf skin isn't that great looking for the price. Just curious if this was ever something brought up or not.
He needs one,but I can understand why he isn't among their top priorities,as there are simply many champs who need such a rework more than him.
First of all, Olaf is a very old champ like poppy or Nunu. All of them have old visuals ( poppy after her rework not anymore) Also the skins are old and remember these skins are 520rp ot 750rp so very cheap old skins that have no VFX changes. Riot said that they won't update champions only visual, they did it in 2014 and this was very time expensive and didn't help the game. Same with olaf, olaf is a very old champion, based on kit, lore and visual. So he need a VGU. I don't know if Olaf is Tier 1 or Tiert 2 but he is a champion that need a a VGU, SO all in all, Olaf shouldn't get a Visual Update, because it just takes time and won't help that Olaf feels more like a League champ.
Notes:1. Skins aren't getting an update when it isn't needed. Just when new spells or particels are added. PF ez got one, because this skin was like a 1350/1800rp skin and not a 3200rp skin so they they tune it up to make him a more ultimate skin
Better visuals, yes! Gameplay updates, no!
I feel that olaf is actually a well made champion, I hope that they keep them like he is gameplay wise and they just improve his visuals and voice lines.
Olaf is kind of in the old Siona/Heimdinger/Taric place. He's kind of designed in an over-the-top fashion that contrasts a lot with the ultra-gritty modern League aesthetic we're currently seeing. He's the ultimate caricature of a viking.
He probably needs a complete overhaul if he wants to fit into this new League.
