Kayle and Morgana Shared Spalsh Art, and Why It Is Awesome!
Kayle and Morgana have always been polar opposite angels, everyone has known that, and its sold as such. With the new splash art I cant help but see the resemblance of the Sistine Chapel and the beautiful paintings and style that they hold.
I saw a post saying that they were lack luster and that riot had dropped the ball, but I cant help but think the opposite, the whole piece is perfect and both characters are easily defined on either side of the painting. Not only this, but the border effect of Kayle and Morgana's bodies weighing down and holding up the two images are perfect.
The weight of truth and justice pressing down on evil.
This splash art portrayal fits perfectly with the style as during the time that the Sistine chapel was painted, the stories of God and his angels were very important and symbols of good and evil were regularly conveyed
The soft coloring and the hues that change across the planes of the cloth, skin and armor give it a very touchable feel like pastels, which again reestablishes my belief that they were going for an old look. I challenge anyone who disagrees to give them both a look side by side and tell me there isn't absolutely inspiration!
