Your not wrong, Zed kicks some serious butt. But sometimes seeing someone barely even acknowledge the fact that they're surrounded by a pack of hungry wolves is a bit scarier than seeing someone kill a bunch of guys. Plus Zed seemed to struggle with some of those Noxians quite a bit. Darius just drank some water and the wolves know not to mess with him.

No one is doubting Zed's capabilities or the fact that he's a badass, but in the last video Zed did what most people expect from a ninja. In this video we see Darius being a badass without the use of violence.

Seeing the Noxians be so vicious feels really nice actually, and they look like kinda average dudes, makes me see Noxus as super strong.

I wonder how a Demacian soldier matches up, probably less erratic movements and more focused attacks?

From what we know of Noxus and Demacia, the Demacian soldiers are probably individually weaker than Noxians, but have much better coordination as a unit - better teamwork, that is to say.

The last soldier fighting in Zed's video probably did better and lasted longer than his Demacian counterpart would have, but a Demacian unit of the same size would have lasted longer than the Noxians, since they would have fought better as a unit - covering each others' backs and fighting in-sync and whatnot.

I was expecting more since the last two videos were so action intense. Doesn't really tell us anything we didn't know about Darius. The only interesting thing is that it looks like he is in Freljord.

Here's a tidbit about why the Darius animation is the way it is:

"Darius: Fear was an opportunity to explore character by situating a champion completely outside of combat and their familiar in-game abilities. It was also a technical test, exploring a 3D character with 2D painted textures and a multi-plane, parallaxing environment."

I like it. As much as it's great to see a character who is good at combat do combat, seeing their character outside of a role is a great way of exploring their personality in ways we wouldn't likely see.

And thus we learned that Darius gives no fucks.

You know, I've always been a bit doubtful whether Darius was actually a capable successor to Sion in the lore, but this animation sets my mind at ease. He's pretty boss.

Love this - seeing these champions in other aspects of life besides fighting. Next would be seeing how they might interact with each other off the battlefield.

I very much liked the non-combat aspect. One of the first things I noticed was how there was no ax in sight, and to see him not grab an axe from back and not fight some wolfs was a very nice change of pace.

I think my only complaint about the clip was the flicker effect. It didn't feel like it meshed with the rest of the video quality, it didn't add anything to the video, and it was very distracting and painfully in your face.

I've no problem exploring a character outside of combat. But I don't really think this explored all that much. We learned Darius is confident. We already knew that.

And so I don't sound like an entirely whiny ingrate: It is very pretty looking, it's not a bad video, I just wish there was more substance to it.

Okay so, related question: can we get Darius drinking from that canteen as an animation somehow? Perhaps double-tapping dance? Or taunt? I kind of want to have a jungler is in the bush waiting for a gank, and then to casually Have No Fear of their hunt, and to watch them walk away like "I don't wanna give Darius that double".

Or just casually take a swig on top of my enemy's corpse.
