#####The end of another year - and a decade

Yeah, I know it's not technically the end of the decade, but we still like to see the year go up to 2020. I think it was an incredible year, but which was the best story? Let's find out!

This vote will stay up for longer than usual: Two days instead of one. And now, one last time, I will paste the descriptions. See you next year!

In the first story, The Echoes left Behind, we witness the story of Ledros, Champion of the King, now a restless spectre. He desperately wants to bring an end to the suffering of the Isles, to free the love of his life (and death) - Kalista, the Spear of Vengeance. He can almost reach out to her - but then, the moment is gone. Oh, how sweet the suffering of this one tastes... Another spectre appears...

In the second story, Silence for the Damned, we witness the arrival of Udyr at the Winter's Claw camp. Against his warnings, they follow the command of Sejuani to summon the Ursine - fearsome, monstrous warriors lead by the Volibear. Udyr tries to protect Sejuani, who is like a daughter to him, but they can't stop. Not now. They need to attack.

My alarm to prepare the daily post just rang, and I'm really glad it's over. This vote will go on for another day or maybe even longer, and I'll finish everything up some time in the next week. Have fun, enjoy your time off!

I think Silence of the Damned won as the best story of 2019, but we have to give a recognition to Anthony Reynolds as the best writter of 2019 in LoL lore by far

Yes.

The votes are currently split! Was not quite expecting that, I would love to hear why some voted for tElb! Do they find Kalista and Thresh along with Ledros more interesting than Udyr, Sejuani and Volibear? Or did they find the romance more intriguing? Maybe they thought the cycle of "rebirth" and the "undying" spirits are made more fascinating than Udyr and Sejuani facing off with Volibear? Would love to hear some opinions :D

Silence of the Damn because the finale to that story where Udyr basically give the finger to the Volibear and does whatever he can to protect Sejuani is pure Godyr material.

SftD is the winner in my eyes! Ant's story was also really nice but I feel like it was stretched out to be longer than needed whereas SftD had a reason to be a long story(if that makes sense)... Both were awesome but I am also a bit biased so :*

Let's Evenly Dunk Ruthlessly Ordering Sejuani

SftD is my favorite story here... Ledros, really cool to see character development but your story left me feeling unsettled- I get that was the point but still gonna have to go with Udyr and Sej__

The final couldn't feature anything but those two.

I voted for Silence of the Damned because there are so many unique and creative elements in it: an Eldritch horror which is not cosmic, a tangible deity interacting with mankind in terrible and uncanny ways, a church of men gone feral and mutated in the image of their bear god and a psyonic juggernaut whose sole presence numbs consciousness and fades sense of self in lesser beings.

What a close one!

There is only 1 right answer and 38 people at this very moment voted wrong, and they get a 0 on their lore finals.
