My theory is that aatrox's human host is the same race as kayle/morg because aatrox has wings and not all darkins have wings like rhaast when he posest kayn. plus only kayle/morg have a set of pair natural wing set unless its not ahuman but a vastayan/animal hybrid

varus looks like he is slowly being possessed by his darkin bow but instead of the demon like skin rhaast and Aatrox have he seems to be getting demonic crow feathers instead
so the Darkin Aatrox might naturally have wings

Azteryz2 votesthats what i meant varus isnt fully transformed mostly half corrupted by the darkin BUT what is getting corrupted is his legs which if not crow feather (they look a little feathery to me) are definitely different than how Rhaast and Aatrox look like in terms of their legs
so my theory is all the darkin have a special look to each of them but are all still darkin
Also i always considered aatrox wings to look like war banner's (hence his theme being all about war) which is neat as well as how they dont really flap like wings but more like banners

We also kno that Darkin can take skills/ abilities from their host like Rhaast using Shadow step. So that is evidence that could strengthen the angel argument. But ultimately I agree each Darkin has their own unique characteristics.
OwainWillyarm691 votesThis could be the reason aatrox has his built in GA. Kayle/morgs race could have some form of invulnerability, kayle's ultimate for example, and maybe the person who got hold of aatrox(the blade) had a blood well aspect to them, which aatrox "harnessed" for himself.

Rhaast's horns must be unique to his appearance, the same could be said for Aatrox's wings
