Strongest (non-god tier) and Weakest champions in lore

So I was wondering what are some of your thoughts on the strongest and also the weakest champions lore wise? Also looking at your replies I will update my list as necessary.

For the strongest champions we all know of the god-tier champions like AurelionSol , Zoe , Bard , Soraka , and Kindred.

Not much to debate here and it's difficult to see exactly where they stand against each other since their abilities are sort of vague. We also get things like Zoe considers Aurelion Sol to be like a big space doggy to play with, Aurelion Sol seems himself as a Creator God but many hints are given that he is just full of himself, so for this debate I wanted to focus on the non god-tier champions.

So personally I would say for the strongest S tier champions we have: Xerath , Lulu , Brand , Syndra, Ryze, Ornn , Volibear and Anivia.

S tiers are all region level threats and capable of taking on entire armies.

Ryze I think could be god-tier with all the runes he has access to but he chooses not to use their power for any purpose fearing corruption.

As for why I rate Lulu so high, she has some extremely powerful hard to counter reality warping magic at her disposal since she can remake anything she wants into whatever she wants like turning a man into a cupcake or making herself into a titan sized yordle, this would allow her to punch far beyond her weight class as a yordle, i.e. Malphite a literal walking mountain could try to step on Lulu but then he will quickly realize he's just an ant about to be crushed by a mountain sized yordle. Lulu's magic would logically have limits, spectral beings with no physical form to manipulate maybe unaffected by Lulu's power making her an easy target, powerful shapeshifters like Evelynn could probably just change themselves back to normal.

Then there are some champions I wasn't quite sure where they would rank. Lissandra , Leblanc , Galio , Malphite , Chogath , Diana , Leona , Taric , Pantheon

Lissandra and Leblanc I'm not so sure about, they are both powerful mages to be sure, but they also both prefer to work through manipulation rather than direct combat which while the smart thing to do, does imply they aren't exactly powerful enough to solo an army. And while normally I would've considered Leblanc below Lissandra with her new lore update Leblanc can now appear anywhere in the world in multiple places simultaneously so her illusion powers are top tier.

Malphite's class depends on how big is he? His splash art makes him about Galio size but other sources like cinematics make him more like 7 -10 ft tall.

Galio's class depends on how effective is his armor at blocking magic. Galio is however top tier regardless on his size alone especially considering he's solid steel.

Aspects of Targon are clearly very powerful but I wasn't sure if they were S tier or even God tier league with Zoe.

Now as for the weakest D-tier champions I'm going to go with Gragas followed by Draven . Now while Draven and Gragas are both undoubtedly super human just like every other champion they seem like they would struggle the most in a fight with another champion.

Gragas is the weakest champion, and while he is a 800+ pound giant of a man with the strength of a gorilla he's not a smart fighter and lacks actual weapons or armor. In game he uses his cask to deal most of his damage but realistically he wouldn't have infinite casks of alcohol with infinite shards of true ice in them to throw at people so he'd be at a severe disadvantage in an actual fight.

Draven I'd say is the second weakest. He has the super human strength to throw massive axes extremely far and accurate enough to actually stab someone across the length of the Rift. While extremely impressive he has a number of weaknesses, mainly his own cockiness and lack of real combat skill as he's shown to rush in to traps without any regard for strategy or safety. His weapons of choice are also flawed and while I'll assume they have the magical ability bounce backwards towards him after he throws them, their reliability is questionable so if he misses, fails to catch an axe, or someone somehow survives the attack he is done for. This berserker style of combat combined with poor weapon choice wouldn't work very well against other champions, every ranged champion has better weapons than Draven other than Sivir and they all fight alot smarter than he does so he dies easily, i.e. Ashe turns him into a popsickle a mile away, Caitlyn blows his head off a mile away, Twitch turns invisibile and puts a poison bolt in the back of his neck, etc. Melee champions simply overpower him like Vi who with gauntlets equipped weighs in at a whopping 8140lbs!!!

I'd be wary of putting Lulu that high on the list.

Keep in mind that ingame abilities don't translate 1:1 to the lore and I'm pretty sure that Lulu can't transform everyone she wants into anything,there are surely some limits to her power in the lore.

Ornn and Volibear are also demigods, they are easily some of the strongest beings on Runeterra. Ornn was the one who dug out the howling abyss and is apparently responsible for most mountains in the land. Volibear can hold his own against Ornn.

Well lissandra is the last pure blood iceborn left (official) , centuries old (lot of wisdom and experience) and had enough magical powers to sacrifice 2 armies and emprison the void scary creatures (the watchers) when she was young , so i imagine she has more wisdom+more power + a whole army in her command (this is from new lore ofc)

so i think she can rank with the powerful ones x)

Ornn, Volibear,Anivia and Xerath are god-tier. Ryze is above Brand cause he was dominating him in their fight.

Based on the summary of every champion on the select page my lore tier list comes out looking something like this. This is NOT based on their relative meta or performance power in game, but from their lore description alone. Also, within the tiers, I have not listed any kind of power order, because let's face it on the level of a supreme being any unenhanced are all roughly equal in power (all ants look the same, and broadly are), and to duke it out with the people they do, all of the unenhanced are equally powerful (you might be a noble but I'm still hitting this supreme being as hard as you are), but you could do something similar within each tier.

I was almost going to give the undead their own category because they show a lot of variance across the board.

Supreme Being: Aurelion Sol, Vel’Koz, Zoe (above elemental force and immortal because it is implied these three could destroy runeterra on a whim.)

Elemental Force: Annivia, Brand, Kindred, Malphite, Nocturne, Zyra

Immortal: Hecarim, Amumu, Ornn, Volibear, Azir, Nasus, Renekton, Xerath, Zilean. The group in the middle are italicised because although they are ascended they may not actually be immortal; for the other three their short description explicitly states they are (as long as Runterra lasts)

Awakened: Soraka, Aatrox, Bard, Elise, Evelynn, Gallio, Illaoi, Ivern, Kai’sa, Karthus, Kayle, Malzahar, Maokai, Morgana, Rammus, Swain, Tahm Kench, Thresh, (the italicises is because their placements call into question other placements, for example why Malzahar and Illaoi but not Leona and Diana, why are Maokai and Ivern in this tier but Zyra is two tiers up.)

Mad Science/Creature/Undead: Urgot, Shyvana, Nami, Rengar, Alistar, Gnar, Orianna, Blitzcrank, Camille, Cassiopeia, Cho’gath, Dr Mundo, Fiddlesticks, Kallista, Kha’Zix, Kog’maw, Mordekaiser, Nautilus, Rek’sai, Shaco, Sion, Skarner, Trundle, Twitch, Varus, Viktor, Warwick, Yorick, Zac

If your going to start this kinda list you need to be comprehensize and have exhaustive knowledge of lore.

Lore-wise Jax is not godlike, but has also technically never been defeated.

Anivia would be among the god-tier champions. She's a demigoddess.

Gragas is definitely weaker than Draven; at least the latter has some combat experience and competent weapons.
