She does not pull souls out. Just spirits. Riot has made sure to point out there is a difference between the two

Yeah, Illaoi's definition of motion is pretty flawed as well. Mordekaiser might be stationary in terms of not aging and not dying but he does move forward, he's set his sight on Noxus and the Immortal Bastion and he will revel in conquest once more.

There's a specific version of the Bilgewater Announcer that works alongside Butcher's Bridge and SR Bilgewater Music. This one is designed to make that not happen, letting you have the announcer alongside the music and the map.

Dig around for it, it should be in the same page as the most recent Bilgewater Announcer download.

I think it depends on how you define soul and spirit.

My personal answer would be that spirits do have souls. As I understand it, Spirit is an incorporeal manifestation, whereas soul is an ethereal essence of one's existence. Spirits tend to be bound, but don't have to be, to a body, while a soul serves as a matrix for one's psyche. In case a spirit wasn't bound to a material anchor, or was independent on it, it could be possible for it to have a soul. In the end, the two terms are often understood as synonyms and tend to be interchanged rather freely, which brings me back to my primary statement.

Note: I tried to answer the question academically, because, damn, am I a meddlesome bore. However, English isn't my mother tongue, so there's quite a possibility I screwed some meaning up. In the end, I hope my response is clear enough to enlighten you. :)

I need some Spectral-101 classes because I always thought they were the same.

Soul -> when inside body. Spirit -> soul of a being wondering around. Ghost -> soul of a being haunting around.

That would probably depend on the power levels between the two. Is Illoai strong enough to rip away a spirit from its captor, or is Thresh's dominating will too much for her to overcome? After all, ripping a spirit from an unsuspecting and undefended body is (relatively) simple enough. Taking it from someone who knows how to toy with souls, and is loath to give them up, is another matter entirely.

It poses an interesting conundrum, after all, Illaoi is shown to be nothing more than a mortal spreading the teachings of Nagakabouros and Thresh is an eternal specter of cruelty and malice, but Nagakabouros is beyond both, if limited by a lack of manifestation in the physical world.

The circumstances are stacked in Thresh's favor, but Shadow and Fortune proves that Illaoi can impact the dead, or at the very least turn them away.

Illaoi is merely a conduit and a physical anchor for Nagakabouros. That's what her job entails.

However, she can only turn back the Mist, which protects the dead. She made it clear that the way to fight back against death is motion, because moving, learning, adapting... it's the best way to survive. Nagakabouros may be a harsh god, but a god that is willing to save those who are trapped in the endless and unnatural cycle of undeath, where beings are always dying but never truly die. It's painful.

Thresh can easily tear any oerson's spirit from their physical form. Nagakabouros can do the same, but motion is the only way to escape. That's why Thresh holds his victims still with chains.

This is kinda controversial , in a way a spirit is just the ,let's call it "thing" inside your body,thus a soul.It KINDA is a different name for the same thing?Not sure if im talking bullshiet or not.But still i'd pay good money to see Senna returned and put into the battlefield Lucian item 3151 Maybe a colaboration between lucian illaoi and some other champion that is capable working with souls?A gamble between thresh's utter distruction and senna's return?I got a lore-boner right now.

In my opinion a soul is your essence, your very being.

But your spirit is what keeps you going slams chest it is motion. You can have a soul but with no spirit you are nothing more than just a mindless being with no purpose.
