In Hebrew, the word טעם(pronounced tahm) literally means "Taste". So his full name means something close to "taste like salty fish".

Cool I didn't know Tahm Kench actually meant something. I found it a pretty weird name and didn't really like it. But it gets much better if you know why he's called like that!
