Pretty much as the title says. I know there a lot of factors involved, but I am curious as to what those factors are and how they have an effect on which of these powers would come out on top?

The void is literally a dimension an energy that devours everything in its path. While the Shadow isles are just a missclick from a mortal dude
Obviously the Void.
This shouldn't even be a contest.

Powerful beings like Aspect, Ascended and Mordekaiser can overwhelm the Black Mist and be not affected by it but nothing stands against the Void. Its power consumes everything. Probably even Nagakabouros.

Considering that most of the residents of the Shadow Isles are already insane, the Void's typical effect would be worthless.
In addition, you can't exactly eat a ghost, soooo...
It's possible the Void could eventually adapt to whatever the fuck is going on over there, but for the interim at least, I'm fairly certain the Shadow Isles would be on top.
In defense of the Shadow Isles, they are more organized than the Voidborns and their attacks towards the humans are more habitual than the attacks that the Voidborns do. And by that i mean invasions of a place, not a random creature biting a dude.
After all, the Harrowing occurs almost all the years, and it can happen anywere, anytime, not only in Bilgewater or October as some people think... In other hand, the Void "invaded" a place only once, and it was because they were "invited" by the Icathians... sure, they destroyed the place, but is not something that can happen in any moment.
Aurelion Sol, the creator of Runeterra, literally got scared when he saw The Void. I think we have a clear winner

Void. No contest. The simple fact that the Shadow Isles can exist within the same realm as Runeterra and NOT literally annihilate it by simple existing says it all.
