So Graves called TF,"Tobias",interesting. Is that TF's real name? The way TF response does imply that name have some importance to him.

Also,I like how MF serious nature have been given to her recently (1st in her Capt. splash, then shown here).

"Tobias Fate". Has a nice ring to it, wouldn't you agree?

I have that feeling that he does not really like that name. Too... common I guess ^^ Not unique enough for someone like him...

I really like Tobias as a name in general, feel like I'd name a son of mine that if a potential wife would ever let me.

"To buy us" Fate.

Guess that explains the lust for money.

I guess its his real name. would actually fit since Graves also calls him T.F.,which might actually stand for both:Tobias Fate and Twisted fate

Me - "Hmmmmm,I could use a new pair of shoes."

Shyvana - "What you looking at?"

Me - ".............new shoes or living?I wonder."

DS Pantheon - "I can get you new shoes with some muffins."

Me - "Deal."

Zero complaints. Only thing that comes as a minor irritation is the sense that they're changing the nature of TF's "betrayal" of Graves and even that might well work out for the best. Certainly moral ambiguity could be more interesting than TF simply selling out Graves for powers without a second thought.

Good stuff, Riot. I wasn't totally happy with Act 1, but I'm definitely sold on things now.

I think this is alluded to by the fact that Graves seems to know about TF's magical prowess, indicating he came by them through other means; potentially he was born with them. Not sure what that means but I like the characterization here.

My reaction after reading the last line: "Oh Fuck".

Now some might say. "Nope, they are main characters, nothing gonna happen to them."

Well, we also got healers in League that can fix such stuff. Gangplank could cut them up, let them get healed up and then start anew, for a maximal amount of terror, agony and torment... That dependes on if he has a healer at his service or not. Chances are he has. After all he owns almost the entire city...

Graves did get part of his ear blown off in this.

SaltyToplaneGoat1 votes

There is a difference in a tattered ear and getting your leg scrimshawed...

Sharjo1 votes

Still some permanent damage there without some healer intervention!

SaltyToplaneGoat1 votes

Well, even if you don't have your personal abumance goat at your service, an ear should be easy to fix, even for a Bilgewater-Healer.

As long there is no internal damage it's not a problem. At least not a big one...

Yeah, but compared to what Gangplank would do to them that ear would appear like a paper cut compared to losing your legs...

Oh yeah. I'm wondering how many scars they're gonna leave this all with, both physically and mentally...

As writer's tend to torment their characters I'd say: a lot. As long as it wouldn't prevent them from fighting on the rift permanently they will probably get it.

Another thing Riot could pull is to disable the characters temporarely. Either due to "massive injuries" or "Missing in action" (aka "Fell into the Ocean" or something) - only to use the time out to give them a rework and some new voiceovers. I mean, it's completly possible they haves something in the works. Not so much for Graves but for Twisted Fate as his gameplay is really somewhat outdated.

I mean, just look at him in the story: a cooler version of his ultimate, throwing exploding cards, etc etc.

Cheesy prediction: Twisted Fate will save Graves later in the end against all reason and goes MiA during that, gets disabled in the game and then gets his rework.
