Do we have to wait NEXT FALL for Mordekaiser VGU?

Just came to mind; since Irelia was confirmed to be the next VGU (super hyped to see what they do with her), does this kind-of-mean we have to wait 'till next 'spooky-season' for a Mordekaiser rework? This year Evelynn got her spotlight, last year it was Yorick, so is Mordekaiser getting his in 2018? Just a small thought @MaliciousMetal.

Hoping Mordekaiser rework brings back the harrowing.

Well it was said that they want to try a 50/50 split between VGUs and new champs next year,so we'll likely see 5 VGUs next year instead of 4.

That being said,I think it is actually likely for the Swain team to pick Morde as their next champ(in which case Morde would likely come out in summer 2018),since it kinda creates a nice flow in terms of characters to work on. I mean their last projects were warwick(a zaunite),Urgot(a champ who has ties with Noxus and Zaun) and now Swain( a noxian),so for them to pick the one undead who has ties to noxus and needs a rework would be kinda fitting.

IDK if they will keep the VGU process concurrent with the seasons, in terms of setting dates and such, but it would be cool to see Morde VGU just in time for Halloween 2018. The announcement for Irelia reminded me when they announced Swain: kinda took me by surprise, as there are more problematic champions IMHO (*cough Nunu Zilean Mordekaiser *cough) . However, once I analyzed their reasoning, I was like, "oh ok, that makes sense. Fair enough." Overall, I'm stoked for both Swain and Irelia. Ionia following Noxus given their lore and history will be kinda cool.
