#2018 Lore Tournament: Day 2 Welcome to day 2 of the 2018 Lore Tournament!

Yesterday we saw Nunu and Ezreal go head to head with Frozen Heart's vs An Explorer's Journey. The winner will go on to oppose Confessions of a Broken Blade (featuring one of League's 'power couples'; Riven and Yasuo) on the 15th.

But today, we have a battle between a story from Swain, and a very recently released story featuring Nidalee:

Do you prefer the tale of a tail in the jungle? Or is watching Swain reading a room of suspicious underlings? Are you subject to recency bias, or have (black) rose-tinted glasses changed your feelings over the months? Are people who are voting for/against [one story] clearly unaware of what makes [the other story] such a treasure/trashpile?

I loved the Black Powder Plot so much! I actually don't even have any Noxian mains, but Swain's power and political intrigue is so cool! With his short story, he comes off as super creepy, and borderline all-knowing. Almost all of the Noxian lore has just been awesome and suspenseful to read since it's update. [vlad-salute]

Swain's story is cool! But Nida's story made me like a character whom I had no interest in at first. It was a very pleasant surprise. I like both (I mean, let's be honest, I like every stories that have been published so far), but I can't ignore the fact that a single story made me change my stance on a character. I'm not voting for a character here (ngl, I prefer Swain over Nidalee), but for a story, and even though both are really cool and well-written, Nida's the one I'm going for.

I think I have already told you but what a nice idea you had! May The Dreaming Pool the best story win :p!

Epic story centering around one of key characters in lore as a whole, presenting him as not only a huge badass but also a magnificent and fearsome leader who strikes fear in his enemies and joy in his comrades

OR

Random crazy bushwoman doing random jungle things with an oversaturated "humans are bad lol" theme attached

Gotta go with my boy Slagle this round, the Black Powder Plot really demonstrated the awesomeness of Swain. Though I am tempted by Nidalee's story since the art was cool and really fleshed her out

I really enjoy both, but I'm going to have to go with Black Powder Plot on virtue of writing quality alone; Human Blood still has that bit where the lizard man brings up that Nidalee called the trapper a human, even though she never verbally states such. I know it's been suggested that he read her mind, but if this is so then it's still not clearly conveyed in the story.

Giving a bit more substance to Nidalee and the Kumungu eastern jungle with the release of Neeko was nice I guess. However, it does not stand a chance against reworked Swain. To this day, I still get the theme stuck in my mind. Such a powerful battlefield marching anthem for the greatest strategic mind of our time.

I liked both of these but I just like Swain's character more.

Both were interesting stories but Spain's was better as it showed the volatile state of noxus poltical leadership. Swain and the "rose" constantly trying to eliminate their opposition is satisfying.

( polls not working for me on mobile recently is starting to get irratating )
